I live in an old house, when I went to replace the kitchen faucet I noticed there was no shutoff for the sink in the cabinet. This worked perfectly to fit directly onto the threaded copper line and then the faucet line, simply by removing the threaded nut piece of this item as it wasn't needed for my application. The ball valve works well, and no leaks were noticed. Construction seems decent. Will be purchasing again in the future when I replace other faucets in the home.

Have a toilet that has a turn style valve that won't shut off water all the way (a slow drip). Was looking to replace it with a 1/4 turn style valve. However, just got this and added it to existing valve and it works great. Problem solved. No need to "replace" and worry about possible leaks & then have to call in a plumber. This got the job done faster and MUCH cheaper.Since its a 2 pack, I wound up installing the 2nd one under a kitchen sink where a new faucet was short on one water line by about 2 inches. This essentially helped fill that gap.I'm pretty sure plumbers don't approve of installing a valve on top of a valve, but so far both work great

My son had a toilet supply valve that was broken (wouldn't close), making it difficult to replace the tank float assembly. The valve connection to the supply pipe was beneath floor level and we couldn't get to it to remove the valve.This FIP to MIP valve connected straight to the output side of the broken valve then allowed connection of the supply hose to the tank. Very easy to attach to the old valve, and the quarter turn ball valve is easy to operate. A nice design and a genuine lifesaver.

I needed this as an inline shutoff valve for a water filter. The water filter housing would leak when I changed the filter cartridge every 6 months, so shutting off the water solves this problem. Both sides of the valve inlet and outlet are 3/8†compression. I used one side as a female fitting and the other side a male fitting. I found the threads to be tight especially when used with teflon tape. I have no leaks. The ball valve is tight and stops the water flow. Water flow can go in either direction. Everything is quality. For less than $10, and not being able to find this part at a big box store, I am happy!

Bought as new angle-stops for my 1980's style "Wet Bar" when I replaced all the plumbing in my house. They have a problem with thick-walled copper. They have an unnecessary 'insert' for PEX (no longer required by USA code for PEX with shark-bite style connectors), and have plastic parts where I would be happier if these valves used metal throughout.It was quite difficult to get them seated fully on 'M' 1/2" copper, but I was finally able to get them to work. No leaks so far and the valves work smoothly.The 3/8 compression fittings seemed to work okay.I would spend a bit more and choose a different brand if I had to do it again.

These work where a similar one from Menards (Nibco) did not. As long as it remains dry, I would buy these again.

I installed between threaded PEX fitting and threaded faucet supply line. Easy and no leaks. Good price. Outstanding quality and packaging, included all compression sleeves and tape. Very happy with this product.

My bathroom toilet shutoff valve was no longer working and had little room to remove and replace it. Bought this 3/8 dual ended unit and removed flex hose to old valve, threaded on one end of the new shutoff valve and then connected flex hose to it. Works great.

The valve fits the 3/8' fittings as expected and looks like it will last over time. The generous inclusion of enough Teflon tape for numerous applications is a nice bonus to help ensure there is no leakage. My only negative comment is that the control knob appears to be plastic rather than metal, which is not mentioned or clarified on the seller's description, which hopefully won't be an issue in the future.

I had to fix a leaking faucet in my kitchen and had to go in the basement to close the water inlet... this product will avoid me going downstairs to close the inlet if it ever happens again and control the leakage quicker.
