I can see why some reviewers had an issue with this item. If you are fastening something to 1/2 inch drywall you must keep turning the screw far more than you would imagine. Otherwise the cross piece on the back side never gets cinched into the back of the drywall leading you to the conclusion that they don’t work. THEY WORK EXTREMELY WELL.Once I discovered the secret to success I was completely satisfied with the very firm attachment achieved. Will definitely buy again. No more plastic anchors for me! Even the good ones don’t come close to how well these work.

After a wall mount guitar rack came off the wall do to cheap wall anchors, I found these. Super easy to install, and of the highest quality.

After spending way too long at the local home improvement store looking for anchors that would inspire confidence, I came upon these in the convenience of my own home. Yes they are a bit on the pricier side, but THEY WORK and they don't come loose in the wall! :) To me that is worth it! :)Pay attention to the little arrow as you are screwing them into the wall so that you know if they are oriented straight up or down: In this way they will have the most holding power and also they won't get in the way of any potentially nearby studs when the wings expand behind the drywall. If you observe them outside of a wall you will also see that it is theoretically possible to remove these from the wall at a later time if you desire, by lining it up with the arrow so that unscrewing will cause the wings to fall back down into the anchor.

These feel kind of cheap, and can be a bit harrowing to use with no previous experience, but are actually really solid once you figure out how to install them. The instructions provided are sparse, but get the job done with minimal head scratching required. The first time I used it I thought I messed it all up, and removed it, but I was able to reassemble it and install it with no problem. It holds onto the wall surprisingly well and I have had no issues with them other than my own baseless doubts. I feel like I could mount a cinderblock to the wall with one and use it as a shelf, they turned out to be very solid and I am pleased. Would buy again.

These things work excellent for mounting heavier items to sheet rock but one think you MUST doREAD AND FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS!If you have problems with them it’s because you didn’t. These are a little different than other brands out there in how they’re set, if you try any other way like some shown on YouTube you WILL fail. Follow the directions exactly and you’ll be fine. I used them to mount a mini-split heat pump unit without issue, four needed and four used.

Easy to install with impressive holding power. The self drilling works well. My advice is when drilling do not press with excessive force which will break out the back of the wall board and weaken the connection.My cons are the size of hole and how to remove them without additional wall damage.But if you need the holding power these are great.

Lost a couple as it wasn't big enough for the hole but it worked on the other hole. Holding my Dyson up pretty securely, at least for now.
