This is a fine tool, that has allowed me to perform the task that the tool was made for. I have at this time installed over 40 grommets to reinforce tarping on our chicken run. It will serve this and comparable purposes for years to come.

For the price works very well. They give you plenty of grommets. Tool is not completely on center. Helps if you tighten up all the nuts on the tool to make it more solid which helps make each grommet better formed

I needed a grommet tool kit to install grommets on a bucket hat. I've never installed grommets before. I pciked this kit because it came with a separate hole punch kit. The included hole punch kit made the process easier. Besides what was included with the kit, I only needed my own hammer to punch the holes with the hole punch kit. The items did not come with a manual or tutorial, but I found a bunch of tutorials on YT that were easy to understand and follow. The pliers were easy to use and didn't need much force. For an inexpensive kit, this grommet tool kit is a good deal.

I have used the manual kit that requires precutting and hammering. For the most part this will punch through and set the grommet in one motion. It is magnetic, so you won’t fumble around with the grommets falling everywhere. Much faster and less hassle.

I bought this grommet tool specifically to squeeze out another year or two of use for my above ground pool winter cover. After a couple of years the original grommets start to tear away from the fabric and then I can’t hang chlorine jugs from them anymore (to keep cover on tight during the winter). This grommet tool fixes that problem perfectly. I just slap on a new grommet near the old failed one and hang the jugs using the new grommet. The only complaint is regarding the side tool they provide to cut out the material in the middle of the grommet once it’s attached. It is cumbersome and doesn’t fit very well. I just use an awl and poke a hole in the fabric with that. So far…durability appears to be fine, function is spot on, and they give you a substantial amount of grommets. Recommended.

The kit is complete - robust but easy to use grommet pliers/tool, made of solid stainless steel. A hole punch, which also looks pretty solid, plus nylon base disc, and a good stock of steel grommets and washers.Easy to use, although I’ve only tried with shade cloth , but I’m confident it would be fine for canvas too.

I received this tool after waiting a longer time than normal for an Amazon item ,several times almost giving up waiting and opting for a local product that may or may not do the job I want donehowever patience prevailed and I was using it 20 minutes after receiving it and it was worth waiting for it as it was the easiest I have ever used (not the I have used one before) and finished the job in 20 minutesand looked great as well as functioned as expectednow if only I can get different size attachments for it I can do a lot more
