Totally did the job for most needs for my 6l80 rebuild. Legs are a little short for any large drum. Threads suck on the tool and are not smooth.Overall it worked for my one trans build. Don’t expect to use this over and over though. I don’t think it will last but for the price can’t complain.

As you can see from the picture, I'm in the middle of a rebuild of a 4L60E and have traditionally made my own tools. I have several other transmissions I'll be rebuilding using this as well. When this showed available I had to snap it up! It's made of decent enough metal (doesn't feel soft) but my only complaint (hence why I took a star off) is that it doesn't come with any means to mount it to a bench or table.Granted, I can probably whip something up myself but it would have been nice to have some pre-determined method to mount it (c-clamps? built-in clamps? mounting holes for people who use it often?) That's the only reason I took a star off. Otherwise it's a budget compressor - which I won't complain about it because my alternative has been making my own!Side note: I'd grease the threads for the compressor to make it easier. A grease that'll handle high pressure (not that I think it'll need super high pressure BUT it is a compressor tool!)

I got this for a 4L60E rebuild I'm doing, and I needed to compress some parts to relieve spring pressure. I saw this tool on youtube first watching a tutorial, and found one available to review. The base is slightly different and works better bolted to a table than clamped in a vise. I drilled holes in the base to fit holes in my workbench. Keeps your hands free to mess with the circle clips. I could have made one with better tolerances, but it would have taken hundreds of dollars of my time. For the price, it's worth the savings in time.
