I love this trowel, very heavy duty. Edges have been sharpened slightly to cut into the soil better but it is not dangerously sharp. I have left it out in one of my garden boxes for several days and there is no sign of rust at all. Feels great in the hand and very strong... haven't felt like it was ever close to bending. It is a little more money than I wanted to spend on a garden trowel but I think this will last me a very long time. Highly recommended but hopefully the price drops a little. If you see it on sale, grab it!

Wow! This is my go-to for digging through tough clay and tangled roots. I tossed my other digging tools aside after I started using this. I'm involved in habitat restoration and that means digging out invasive plants and vines while leaving native plants. This tool is sharp and well designed. Comfortable in the hand. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately most of the trowels say heavy duty only to bend easily. This unit has a hardened blade and so far has shown no tendency to bending. The handle is welded on so no rivets to come lose or break. After some use in hard soil I have seen no bending or distortion of the metal. It should last more than one season of gardening.

Very nice, very sturdy: will probably last years. The blade is thick steel so it should never fall apart. The handle does fit very nicely into your hand. But I was surprised that it did not come sharpened. A little work on the grinder, no problem, but I would think a "premium" tool would come out of the box ready to go.

Heavy and large. Does its job well, good option for daily gardeners. The ergonomic feel is noticeable and comfortable especially with repetitive use. Need to be careful of the sharp edge.

Usually I wait to leave a review, and I'll update this one after I've actually used it, but so far I'm pleased. It's heavy in the hand and by that I mean it feels very sturdy. I like how it comes to a sharp point and the edges are sharp too. I anticipate that it will cut throw the roots and clay soil very easily and get the job done well.

I love this garden shovel with the serrated edge. It makes weeding and planting so easy. Easily get under the roots to pull weeds and loosen soil. For planting it has the measurements for the correct depth. Highly recommend for a great addition to your gardening tools

We had a metal garden trowel and it broke after one season of working with it. This one feels few times sturdier. Of course time will tell but the quality is evident.

Ok construction but certainly not narrow as pictured. I was wanting a narrow trowel and this is not even close.
