This thing is amazing, easy to install, easy to load!! This will hold a lot of stuff too!! Loaded this thing up in the rain even and everything inside stayed dry on a 3 hour drive through torrential rain!! Very minimal road noise but not untill 70mph!! This thing held strong and did not budge

I was skeptical about this purchase with the bad reviews I read but after a 16hr 800 mile drive from Oak Point, Tx to Keystone, Co. I will say I had none of those issues (no rain occured to provide review on waterproofing). I was able to fit 1 large, 3 medium and 2 small luggage bags, a 6 and 2 person tent, 3 vacuum storage bags that had 2 comforters, 2 blankets and 2 pillows, 2 life vest, collapsible shower tent, portable shower bag, towels and footwear with a little room to spare. Installation was easy with the provided directions (I did some additonal rooftoop nbag packing research and loaded the heavier items in the front). I was scared the nylon straps clips were going to break or pop loose so I used the extra length nylon strap to wrap over the clip and through a loop on the bag multiple times, slid the attached velcro on the strap through one of the loops I made pulled tight and connected the velcro. Gave it the ole "that's not going anywhere pull" and set out on our journey. After 30 minutes of 70-75 mph speed travel I stopped to perform a check before hitting the open road and the bag was still centered, straps were tight and all was well. Every stop we made I checked the bag and straps and no change. The bag or straps did not rip or fray. If you do choose this bag make sure to fill it completely so it gains its square shape to prevent flapping which will lead to rips and tears (I researched this). Almost forgot, DO NOT PUT ITEMS IN HERE THAT YOU WILL NEED ACCESS TO ON A REGULAR BASIS THROUGH OUT THE TRAVEL! Learned that the hard way. I was not told while packing which one was the medicine bag which i packed dead center. I had to do a lot of unstrapping to get access to it. If I would modify anything for next travel. It would be changing out the nylon clips. They held up well but always worried me while I was traveling. Hope this helps a future buyer. (Don't judge my photos, only ones I could provide were from my security camera at 3am while we were leaving lol)

I bought this to put on our Toyota Highlander for a long road trip-- it worked out great. Held plenty of luggage for my family of eight, and we had no issues. Solidly built, quality zippers, seems quite waterproof though we didn't get much rain.A couple tips, make sure you strap down the front securely and add your heavy stuff to the front-- it did try to flip back on itself when I failed to do this. The other thing is make sure you solidly velcro down the straps so they can't flap-- I didn't do this for one leg of the trip, and I ended up damaging the paint on my roof since the strap kept hitting the same spot hundreds of times. Learn from my mistakes. . .

We filled this with 5 large suitcases and drove over 500 miles at 65+ much of the time. It was secure and never loosened. When we opened it at our destination after driving thru a 30-40 minute rainstorm about half way thru our trip everything was secure but there was water in the bottom of the bag. The suitcases protected the contents. I found that if you keep the top very smooth with no place for water to pool I could reduce this problem on subsequent trips.

Made it on a 2,400 mile trip out of the country and back!!! The bag is great material! We only used what is included to secure the bag no extra ropes were needed. And it did not budge despite our bumpy roads, strong winds and heavy rain. We are soo happy we invested in this. Worth every penny.

It's a very big, comes with a mat to keep it from sliding around on top of your car. I had to sew the mat onto it because it kept rolling up underneath it (the wind). (Make sure you do a test run, whenever you buy something like this. Don't just put it on and leave). It's a very heavy material so it was really hard to do and I only stitched it in a couple of places. Even though Amazon that has a car matching system this thing didn't fit my car. They're supposed to be little places for the hooks to hook into. Not so on my car. So I went and got some ratcheting straps. And I hooked the ratcheting straps to the bag straps inside my car. It was only mildly irritating. Not enough to take it back. It worked. It did what I needed it to do and that was to go 500 miles down and 500 miles backup California. I didn't encounter rain and I poked a hole through it with the safety pin when I was securing the mat to it. So I can't say for sure if it leaks or not. But it will now since I put a hole in it. Overall it was a good buy. It was a good price, it did what it was supposed to do. I got so much stuff in there it was amazing. I could have got more stuff in there had I had somebody that would crawl on top of my car and lay on it, like a suitcase. yeah you have to unhook the hooks in order to open it. I just put things I need to get to in my trunk. And when you get one of these things be sure you have a really tall man, or a step ladder. I used a little stool cuz I'm short.

Ordered in June for a 5 month cross country trip. We made it roughly 2500 miles to WY and everything was wet. We had to completely unload, not an easy task when you’re packed to be able to shift clothing and supplies as the weather changes. All of our cold weather gear had to be washed and dried on the road, it cost a fortune. We used the bag correctly, kept it squared up good, tied down good and the straps Velcroed. The zipper meets in the middle as it should and we have been sure to keep the pin in the zippers as well as being sure the the zipper was covered with the weather guard flap.Because we are on the road we missed the return date and now the bag is stowed very inconveniently in space that should be better utilized as well as the loss of storage space of the bag. I apologize for no pics, we can’t find them, probably a back up issue because of our sketchy service. The seams all leak. You can see daylight from inside the bag. I’m not knocking the vendor (yet) simply because he/she has not had time to respond. If the issue is corrected I will update my review.

Die Dachtasche haben wir als Alternative zur Dachbox gekauft und sind begeistert. Das Befestigen geht einfach, es passt enorm viel rein und hält längere Strecken bombenfest. Regen hat es auch standgehalten und die Sachen sind trocken geblieben.Auch bei höherer Geschwindigkeit kein Problem.War eine sehr gute Kaufentscheidung(Befestigt an Dachreling)

Ho implementato la mia capacità di carico e in autostrada non fa rumore.La mia Golf ora è non Grado di portare me e la mia famiglia (4) in viaggio senza l'abitacolo invaso dalle valigie.In autostrada,se le cinghie sono fissate per bene,non si sente nulla.Per l'installazione dei ganci in tessuto, mi sono rivolto al mio meccanico.Il montaggio della sacca è abbastanza rapido ci aono solo le cinghie da fissare.
