It has an added piece of metal that goes between the transfer case and fuel tank and wraps around the front of the fuel tank. The original does NOT have this piece. Many reviews talk about cutting the metal tab off. However, I simply dropped the rear of the tank slightly and pushed tank to rear a bit and was able to easily button the skid plate in. Adds a little extra protection to the front of the tank. All the holes lined up perfectly. Highly reccomend this skid plate—good bang for the buck for OEM style plate.Couple Notes:Like others had suggested, I bought some rattle can bedliner and sprayed the plate inside and out for extra rust protection. In hindsight, probably should have scuffed the paint up a bit more to ensure good adhesion.Loosen bolts a bit and work some 1†ratchet straps between the tank and plate to help hold the tank once you drop the plate. I used two—one front and one rear.If there is a lot of sand, mud etc in the bottom and sides of the skid plate, you will have to gently work the plate off with up and down motion as to not damage any fuel lines. A small floor jack may come in handy to help lower the plate (simple project for one person). My plate was twice the weight due to debris in bottom.Recommend waiting for your fuel light to come on before tackling project or at least as little fuel as possible—don’t make it harder on yourself.I got the front two bolts started and worked my way back. The floor jack is handy to help align rear bolts. Once all bolts were started I tightened them in a crisscross pattern. The transfer skid plate goes on after and the hole on the fuel skid plate lined up perfectly with the transfer case skid plate.Take your time, soak bolts in advance with penetrating oil of your choice if you have time, and eye protection is good, as dirt, sand, rust, etc will fall out as you start banging around.Good luck

A lot more work than it looks like but this product was a perfect fit and looks good. Great for a factory replacement.

As many others have said this worked perfectly and just needed to have the extra tab cut off. Check out the YouTube videos that are out there before going about switching this out yourself. Use the ratchet straps between the plastic fuel tank and the skid plate and you can do this by yourself .
