This are definitely a quality prong collar. I used these in the past with my Shepard and now with my 100 pound lab. I always use it in conjunction with a halter and I never have to pull on the prong collar. Just let your dog correct them self. They will pull and stop all on their on without you doing anything. The buckle attachment is an absolute must for easy attaching and removing.

This Herm Sprenger prong collar has been suggested by a few trainers. It’s made in Germany by a very well respected company. The easy on off clip makes it super easy to put on and take off. It’s a very nice effective pinch collar. The only issue I have is that the listing states it’s for a neck size of up to 19 inches. My gsd’s neck is 17†and this collar barely fits. I will need to buy extra links. I will not buy the larger gauge collar because my trainer specifically recommends the 2.25 mm, as it gives a better control of your dog. All in all this is the collar to purchase, just be prepared to buy more links.

I used this Herm Sprenger Prong Collar for loose leash training on my 1 1/2 year old German Shepherd and has vastly improved his leash training skills. No longer pulls on the leash except for those occasional anxiety attacks he still has when he sees certain dogs but nothing related to the training collar. High quality stainless steel manufactured in Germany.

Quick buckle design is the best! Worth the price. Links can be added or removed to fit most dogs. Size is great and prongs are not sharp. This is a safe, effective training tool we use regularly.

I bought this collar thinking I was buying the best training collar for my Golden Retriever Puppy. It worked well while he weighed 40-50 lbs.Once he reached the 70 lb. Weight and he wanted to pull to greet other dogs or people he now regularly breaks the stainless steel buckle loose. I started clipping my leash to his chest harness as a second safety measure but the it limits the effectiveness of the prong collar. I bought two (2) of these collars to keep one in my truck. I would not recommend the collar for strong dogs with a weight over 60Lbs. I am now shopping foe a collar with a different means of securing the collar and the convenience of easy on and off. We are very careful while putting the collar on to make sure both clips have been in position to lock into the buckle but it still comes off. Thank goodness he is a Golden Retriever and just wants to play with other dogs when he gets loose.

The collar works well however the hook often becomes tangled which honestly makes me anxious that it will unlatch. Aka it does not stay hooked due to the poor quality of the buckle. However, it does keep my dog close to me easily once he learned how to avoid the discomfort.

Top quality. Love the buckle feature. This collar's links are too bulky for my Shih Tzu, but I haven't been able to find anything smaller with the buckle.
