I have an 80#, 4 year old labradoodle and a 60# 2 year old springer spaniel doodle. Every morning we go out for a mile plus long jog. Some time ago when a neighbor saw the dogs pulling my she recommended that a harness would control their urge to pull. So I bought harnesses for both of them and used the front chest connection which is supposed to stop pulling. It didn't matter which connection I used the dogs still pulled me like sled dogs and no matter how much I bribed them with treats or used a dog whistle nothing improved the situation. Then I got these prong collars for both dogs. OMG!Night and day isn't even close to describe the difference. I was thinking I could no longer jog with them it was so frustrating and then I put these on and immediately the issue was solved. The 60# still likes to lead but he doesn't pull anymore.They were both first apprehensive when the collars were put on but immediately when they saw they meant a walk they took to them like they were a special treat. And the quick release clasp makes a world of difference without having to put the prongs over their head and eyes, safer, quicker and easier. Without question this product deserves 5 stars!I read other reviews, I can see these might not work for small dogs. One of the complaints was the metal is weak. Both my dogs are very strong and so far absolutely no issue with weak metal. They do need adjusting, prongs must be removed to get the collar sized for the dog. A strong person can do this by hand otherwise you will need pliers but it is fairly easy to do.Lastly, the dogs were always hesitant to allow me to put the harnesses over their heads even though they knew it meant going for a walk. Now with these pronged collars as soon as they see them they run up to me and stick up their heads without any hesitation at all.

I have a pitbull mastiff and this is a great tool to use for training on big dogs. This not only helps my oldest daughter and myself to control our dog when other dogs are trying to run up to her or start barking from the gate. When doing command training and she loses focus it works great to get her back on track.Please every understanding this does not heart the animal when training properly. If you're a cruel person, then it will hurt them. All that's need it a small tug to pinch, don't pull them or you will strangle the poor dog. Definitely needs to be used safely and properly.

I’m using a prong collar to train my PitBull puppy from not pulling so much. It’s working well and he’s learning his limits without being hurt. The collar got twisted and now the last set of prongs are locked into each other creating a twisted effect. I can’t seem to get it back even with a clap and tools. It wasn’t bothering my pup until he got a little bigger and now the collar is to tight with the twist in it. Guess I’ll be ordering a new one. Took one star away from this twisted drama. Otherwise, great collar with extra rubber ends.

Both my rescue and foster dogs were pulling excessively on their walks! These collars have made a huge difference! They are not upset when we put them on and seem comfortable wearing them. They have learnt not to pull to stay comfortable and it has made a huge difference when walking them! They are great quality. It is a little hard to take out links to change the size but it is doable! They are true to size and we’re great value for money.

I bought 2 of these collars for my dogs that pulled and they worked great, until my 9 month old puppy decided he wanted to meet another pup. One good pull and the collar broke, setting my puppy free. Fortunately the dog he was going to see was friendly and they stayed still while I was able to grab my pup (after a bit of running around of course) but who knows what could have happened if he wasn't dog friendly or If we would've been anywhere else. This collar is for training so it should be able to hold up to quite a bit of pulling. I know I should've had a safety clip, so that is my fault also for trusting a product fully but please, if you can spend the extra money and buy a higher quality collar or if you can't use a backup clip. I don't want this to happen to anyone else.

My Corso is 100 lbs, pretty well behaved but still a pup. She tends to pull on our walks so I purchased this prong collar and it works! I love that it has the plastic tips which I think are just as effective but not harmful as the ones with out the tips. She stopped pulling the 1st time I used the collar. A++++++

Pareciera que es un método cruel para mantener a tu perro cerca de ti, pero es una buena forma de comenzar a enseñarle a caminar de esa forma. La correa es de buen material, resistente y no se oxida. Desde que la comencé a usar mi perro ya no se jala y mis brazos no se cansan.

The collar works well with our dog and is easy to put on and off. However, the rubber protectors that go on the prongs have to be put on manually one by one and some of ours have fallen off and are lost now.

Doesn't have quick release buckle as described and it is NOT easy to remove any to shorten length
