My hermit crabs LOVE this wheel! I have medium sized hermit crabs that are slighly on the larger size. I ordered the "large" size of this wheel and it fits them perfectly! They like to hang outside of it, on top of it, underneath it, etc. My only concern with this product is the use of a stainless steel bearing. Stainless steel is usually coated in chromium, which can be toxic to hermit crabs if traces of it come off onto their exoskeleton.Originally, I wasn't super concerned about this because the bearing is on the bottom of the wheel(where they won't be climbing on), and is also nowhere near water, which means the chances of the chromium dissolving off of it is low. However, my hermit crab decided that her new sleeping place is right underneath the wheel, directly under that steel bearing. To err on the side of caution, I decided to glue a clean plastic bottle cap on top of the steel bearing using aquarium based silicone which is safe for hermit crabs. Now the bearing isn't able to touch them, and they can still use the wheel like they used to.Overall, my hermit crabs still love and use this wheel a lot. However, if you are someone who is concerned about keeping up with your crab's health, I would suggest researching the impacts of stainless steel in their environment and come to your own conclusions.

My crab is a big boy. Like he is huge and I thought he wouldn’t fit in the wheel. But he loves to exercise and run on his wheel. Though he is extremely shy about his workouts and runs off whenever I try to take a photo. None the less I see that he uses it often. Great for a hermit crab that loves to climb on the ceiling.

I wasn't sure my hermies would use this, but they LOVE it! They climb into this every night and spend a good amount of time going for "walks". This is a great addition to their home, great way for them to get some exercise. Highly recommend!

I was rather skeptical about the crabs actually using the wheel, but I was wrong. One of them actually loves it and has used it daily since purchasing. Super cute to watch for some reason.
