Quality of the part is fine enough. Not the nicest casting and fairly thin but still has a nice weight to hold my smaller micrometer on my workbench. Just two knobs on it to change the angle and hold the tool in it so fast and simple to adjust. Could have used some rubber pads on the bottom to make it sit better on smooth surfaces but just gotta be careful and not bump it around when using it.

This micrometer holder stand is very convenient, allowing you to focus on precise measurements without worrying about stabilizing the tool. It lets you operate the micrometer with one hand while holding the object being measured in the other, making the process much easier.However, the stand I received differs slightly from the advertised version. While the base is indeed cast iron, the clamp that holds the micrometer is aluminum, which wasn’t mentioned. Another minor variation is in the knobs—shown with blue centers in the product image but entirely black on the unit I received.To improve the stand’s operation, I added a washer at the end of the main bushing that controls the pitch of the vise. The manufacturer didn’t include one, but I think it would be a good addition. I’ve shown the brass washer in one of my images for reference.Overall, it's a good stand at a reasonable price, but be aware that it doesn’t match the description exactly.
