Have 2 small dogs and they don't love being forced to brush their teeth, but once made such a big difference. The beef flavor smells gross while brushing but it doesn't make their breath stink like beef. The little finger brushes are easy to use and clean

The product seems durable and is easy to use. I had used a dog toothbrush before but my dogs seem less resistant to me putting my finger in their mouth than an actual toothbrush. I will say that the size is perhaps a little small. I have average sized hands for a man and it is a very snug fit on my index finger. It would not work for someone with larger hands.

I had my 11 years old dog's teeth cleaned and had to have 2 teeth extracted..The vet told me if I brushed her teeth I wouldn't need to have them cleaned by him again. For those of you who know it is quite expensive up to $1300.00!So I bought these as he told me a brush really doesn't work as the dog will not like it. My dog is 13 lbs... so I first just used the toothpaste on my finger, to get her accustomed to a finger in mouth. she's not crazy about it but doing it without the finger brush many times she was getting okay with it. So when I used the finger brush she initially wasn't that receptive but after many uses, she is getting okay with it. I also put water on my finger after I brush her teeth with the toothpaste to make it feel like her mouth and tongue are rinsed :) Then I take her for a walk and she forgets all about the brushing. These are great and I truly recommend them. Her breath is much better and that the tartar is gone. Loves this product as clean teeth for a dog can prevent complications like heart problems.

So.., I really have little to rely on for any Star Rating so just picked the middle. I had been prepping kitty to permit my finger inside her mouth by gently rubbing her teeth and gums in anticipation of using a finger brush and toothpaste for months. She was pretty good with that. So, I bought this first toothpaste and finger brush. Initially, I showed kitty a tiny bit of toothpaste on my finger, letting her smell it and calling it food. She smelled it and was uninterested. Well, I paid for this and put on my brush with a little toothpaste on it, and then tried to put it in kitty’s mouth. She was more than anxious as I tried to get it into her mouth. She was pissed! With a bit of firm holding, I managed to do it. Did I manage any teeth brushing? All hell broke out! She flipped up and out of my grip three feet in the air, up and over the coffee table, lands on the other side, somersaults, jets all over the living room sneezing, and doing a hack up thing spewing white foaming toothpaste out of her mouth and around my living room, then into my son’s bedroom, and under my couches and other furniture she hid under for the next hour. It’s been a month since then and I haven’t had the nerve to try again. Still have the product and may try again some day. Unfortunately, kitty has a good memory and hasn’t let my finger get near her mouth since “The Event.â€

The first time I tried to brush my cat's teeth (3 cats+ my grandmother's cat) it was such a pain. I was using a baby toothbrush and had to have someone hold the cat while I tried to get the toothbrush to make contact with their teeth. I decided to try these and what a world of difference they made!! I was able to brush the teeth of all 4 cats by myself and quickly. With these, you can actually feel that you're making contact with their teeth. The finger openings are a little large for my fingers, but I found if I wrapped my finger with a bit of paper towel that it created a more secure fit. I'd highly recommend them!

As to the beef flavor - it was a negative. Price was good as were the "finger brushes". Peanut butter should have been our choice....maybe next time.

The Silicone bristles are very short and incredibly soft. This may be ideal for a very small breed. But I did not notice any visible difference in my 2 rotties teeth. I was very tempted to use a regular toothbrush with the beef flavored toothpaste
