This worked great to ream a 0.5000" diameter hole thru a steel body for creating special tools for reloading 50BMG specialized rounds, this tool was followed up with a 0.5100" diameter reamer to manufacture an accurate hole thru the steel body, which is the groove diameter of a 50BMG barrel and the OD of a projectile used for ELR competitions.

If you are going to use it as an actual "highspeed" reamer you need to use it in a mill. It works great at low speeds in my drill press.

This is a standard reamer, just what I was looking for. Measured it as soon as I got it and right on size. I have been a machinist all of my life and retired now, but still active. Used this for one of my projects and it is now in my collection of reamers.

One flute was bent and undersized on the starting end. The top of the reamed hole in 6061 aluminum shows chatter marks and is scared. This hole was reamed to fit a tight tolerance pin. Heads up - you are the quality inspector do not use for precision applications unless you are assured the tool has been manufactured to the tolerance specifications you require for your work.
