Do NOT buy this:Problem 1: the round peg on this wrench doesn't fit any of the holes in my other 5C rings.Problem 2: this ring's outside diameter is HUGE! You can't use it on any collet blocks because it sticks out. This means you can't lay your collet blocks flat-let alone clamp them in a vise or chuck.Weird garbage that doesn't make sense. Everyone here is laughing at this mess.The ring is bad and the wrench is bad. No use for either.To be clear: Amazon was recommending this to everyone who bought 5C collets (bad). The issue is that this is for a very SPECIFIC tool holder (sold as the other option here). This is NOT for use with any other thing, and not for those popular hexagonal and rectangular block 5C collet holders-or anything else. The ring and wrench are beefy and nice, just are designed for that one huge tool and not normal 5C holders.

DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM.... The nut is way too large on the outside to be used in a machinist vise. The pin on the wrench is also larger than the standard nut for a 5C collet. This product is totally useless for my needs in the machine shop. I could have modified both but way, might as well make my own.

Don't quite understand why the locking nut OD is bigger than the collet block you would purchase this for? It works, but it's annoying. I had to turn it down so the 5c block could sit flat with the locking nut installed.
