The pins I've looked at all appear to be consistent in length and finish. Have not checked hardness or form. Measured a half dozen pins and they ranged from -.0002 to -.0006 with most somewhere in the middle of that. Expected better but at this price not too unreasonable other than they are advertised as class ZZ. If accurate pins are needed then need to spend money on a better class of pin.

the only fault i found in these is the ends of the pins are not machined finished.

I specifically ordered this set because I was looking for both a M-1 and M-2 set in the same style case. The M-1 set came in a much smaller case, with no handle, no space for a go-no-go gage handle and the Pins are arranged from largest to smallest (from top left to lower right) where as the M-2 set is arranged from smallest to largest (from top left to lower right). Tempted to return. One GOOD thing is, the M-1 set does have the pins individually wrapped.

Micrometered several in the set with quantum mic. Very accurate.
