Christmas Eve he opened the bench present. He played with it off and on all evening and several days later he's still interested in playing with it. It's all wood so it's very nice.

This is an okay toy. You have to manually push the pieces in at first and it's really hard. You can't hammer them in. Its a great when your child hammers them down and flips it over and does it again. It does really suck at times because the pieces can come out and then you have to push them back in. Maybe as he gets older or the toy is used longer it will get easier.

Two very young toddlers used this for about a week and three of the pegs have already pushed all the way through. The children are too young to use the hammer with force, so this is disheartening. The pegs won't go back in without falling through, so they can't be hammered anymore.Do not recommend.

Truth be told I bought this only because I wanted the hammer (as a replacement on another toy). Was pleasantly surprised when my six month old grandson found the entire set-up absolutely fascinating and now, two+ months later, still does. Durable, lightweight, safely gnawable (for teethers), and brightly colored - all good stimulation for the curious child.

Not real sturdy. I had to use a regular hammer to get the pegs to go thru the holes! The thing still doesn’t work like it should.
