- PU round belt is also called polyurethane round belt. It is usually made of PU. PU is the abbreviation of Polyurethane. The name is polyurethane for short. It has been widely used to replace glass fiber insulation materials, wood, and traditional rubber products.
- Polyurethane round belts (surface split surface and rough surface) are long-sized transmission belts, which are characterized by heat welding, which can be simply joined together, which is very convenient to use. The section has no core and no directionality, so it can be used in multi-axis transmission and complex transmission that can change direction at will.
- Round belts are generally divided into smooth round belts and rough round belts:
- The round light band is orange, and the round rough noodle band is dark green. The surface of the light belt has good surface finish and bright color; the rough belt has rough surface, uniform particles, comfortable hand feeling, and wide application range.
- Preparation tools: electric soldering iron/lighter, scissors, grinding wheel.
- The electric soldering iron is energized and the temperature reaches 150-180 degrees. Then put the two ends of the round belt on the soldering iron until the round belt is heated. (Lighter can be used instead of electric soldering iron.)
- After the two ends of the round belt are heated, connect the two ends. Be careful not to let it go immediately after docking, you need to wait for the round belt to cool and condense before letting go (hold it for about one minute, the better the temperature control, the stronger the connection).
- Trimming is usually done with a small grinding wheel, or trimming with scissors.
- It is widely used in the transportation of packaging machines, printing machines, textile machines, transmission wheels, ceramic tiles, cement tiles, floor tiles, wooden products, food cans, newspaper prints, etc.

i USED THIS TO MAKE A ODD SIZE DRIVE BELT FOR A SEWING MACHINE IT WORKED GREAT AND WAS VERY EASY TO JOIN TOGETHER WITH A LIGHTER.SEEMS VERY STRONG ALSO.

Easy to use. Use belting to measure, cut a bit short, square up the cuts, warm up a putty knife with a blowtorch, heat the ends and push them together. Really good results after a few tries. Keep shortening the same belt to learn, as you'll want some belt tension.

It's amazing that you can cut a length of this, then fuse the ends together securely, with ease.It won't pull apart at the joint. Tough stuff.

Don't buy a replacement belt for your bike roller. You can cut a piece of this and melt it together with a soldering iron. Then carefully trim with razor blade and sand. Hold the melted ends together for about 30 to 45 seconds and it will stick together well.

Excellent Product. I followed the directions for making a loop of any length and it worked perfectly. Very strong bond and difficult to pull apart.

This was my first experience with urethane belting. I am a hobby person and this is amazing stuff for all those projects that require power transmission by belt. Easy to use and very strong... no failures yet.

It took me a few times to heat the ends and butt them together straight and aligned, using a soldering gun. There was a small bump at the join which I scraped off with an exacto knife. I cut it too small (the old one had shrunk before breaking), and had to stretch it hard to get it over the pulley wheels. I thought for sure it would break at the join, but it held together. It's been working fine now for three months.
