While most commonly used for masking purposes during finishing, there are hundreds of other uses around the shop, home, lab, classroom, etc. This superior grade of silicone is capable of withstanding temps up to 600 degrees Fahrenheit (315 Celsius) for 20 minutes and holds up to most chemicals. I use them to plug the holes in the roof rack of my 2024 Subaru Outback. I keep the cross rails folded and these plugs fit in the holes far enough down that the folded rails hold them in place. Not sure whether they'd stay in place with the rails folded out, but they might since they can be pushed down some.
