Fundamentally these are manufactured for plumbing installations. You can use them for whatever you want however realize that they are larger than the nominal size because pipe standardization is based on the internal diameter. The outside diameter is different. The amount of difference depends the type of pipe and the pressures that it’s engineered for.

I was looking for a three inch without a mechanical joint but could not find one. Decided to try these and very happy with the build. Would buy again.

The galvanizing seems good on the clamp, but the pins don't seem to be galvanized.

The actual I.D. of the clamp is 1 13/16". I get the idea of "nominal sizes" but it doesn't say in the product listing anywhere what the actual size is. Was hoping to use with 1-1/2" O.D. aluminum tubing, but that is not even close.Other than that, these are really well made hangers and attach nicely to threaded rod.

The product says inch and a quarter which is 1.25 but the actual interior diameter of this inch and a quarter clamp is close to inch and a half so the size that they’re listing is for a pipe that is inch and a quarter ID and God knows what pipe that they’re using to put in the clamp That takes you to 1.5. So the returns on this product must be huge cause I sent mine back and got the 1 inch pipe clamp.

The description says for 2 inch pipe. It is not. The outside measurement of the ring is 2 inches. If I had a use for this size, the rings would be fine.

Package of 10 held only 9 clamps. Last week a box of 100 screws had only 54. Poor service quality.
