Blower was way out of balance, sounded like a rock tumbler not a fireplace blower!Cheap plastic rheostat didn’t work either.Piece of junk.

I ran this unit before installing to check it out and the fan rotated freely and quiet. However, after installation it's noisy but does pull and push air fine. The little electric motor, as all do, creates a little vibration as does air going through the fan fins. The fact that most fire boxes are made of thin sheet metal, it doesn't take much contact from anything that vibrates to use that as a sounding board making the vibration audible, some worse than others. Anyway, it's a tight fit so not much one can do about that but as far as fans go, this unit does what it's supposed to. This was a replacement and was able to use original connections so didn't have to swap anything out.

Putting one in an existing fireplace is not fun. The unit needs to be screwed to the rear wall or floor - almost impossible. Very poor instructions. Check it carefully as the electrical connections are fragile and the units are poorly boxed.Every edge on the blower is fairly sharp. You will bleed. A little going over with emery paper will save you some bandaids. NO MAGNETIC MOUNTS WITH THE UNIT. My Tstat does not work apparently. It goes back

We bought this to replace our old one. Good thing my husband is a machinist and has had experience with installing this sort of thing, because the instructions that came with it do not match the product. Was supposed to have magnets and screws to affix to firebox. No screws and cheap, not sticky enough two sided "tape" to affix. Also, the control knob, though grooved, just slips right off. Utterly useless. Luckily, he works in a screw machine shop, and can obtain a set screw to fix the problem. Wouldn't recommend unless you have a lot of knowledge of "how to", and/or are a machinist.

The fan made a loud ticking noise and then quit working after two minutes.

Put it in our fireplace and never would turn on. Seems like it was fried when I got it .

I like this unit it fit in our new fireplace heater like it was made for it and with all the extras you could ever want. Runs quiet and the heat switch works so nice. Speed control allows perfect setting as needed. Quality was very good price is very reasonable. Highly recommend this for anyone needed a fan in their stove.
