I needed a portable hammerless punch for my tool roll, when I am on the go and need to help friends in need of handyman work. I had a Mayhew already and wanted to try other American-made tools. HIT came on my radar and I took a try.Good tool. Not exceptional, but good. The finish was clean. No USA or company branding stamped on the tool? Shame... because no one will know it's made in USA by just looking at it. Mayhew has the USA stamped. That's a nitpick though. The tool works and hammers well. The pin is great because it's part of one solid construction. If you look at reviews of Spring Tool's pin punch, some customers noted that the pin fell out after a few uses. This will never happen with the HIT - the pin punch is a part of the overall metal build. Very well engineered. An important note for customers reading this: ALWAYS RELEASE THE TOOL WHEN IT'S STRAIGHT. If you release this hammerless punch when the spring is bent, you will 100% run the risk of the spring bending upon release. End users need to be mindful to use the tool properly, and it will last you decades of use.Overall, I'm happy with the hammerless punch and I look forward to working on future projects in and out of the house.

I used to use a hammer and punch to remove hinge pins but recently I had a large appliance delivered and the guy had one. It's so much easier to use. One side pops the pin out and the other for putting the pin back.

Legit product! This little thing can take off even the most stubborn door pins where you cannot get s good swing of a hammer. Effortlessly gets the job done!

I was able to remove the hinge pins from two squeaky doors, lubricate them, and replace within minutes without damaging the hinge or wood. This really works. If it only lasts a few times (which I believe it will last a long time for me), it is well worth the cost.

I can't believe how effective and easy to use this was. I had hinges removed, cleaned, and reinstalled with only this tool and a Philips screwdriver. No hammer, no nail, no flathead for prying or wedging. It's equally effective at removing and reinstalling the pins. Unbelievable that I had never heard of this before. Really well built and sturdy

I had a question about the product, & the customer support was outstanding. Someone high up contacted me and answered all my questions. This company really stands behind their product, & did I mention it's made in the USA?!! Oh, it works spectacularly. But yeah, don't hesitate and just buy it. It works like a dream, and it's a pretty awesome company as well!

The HIT Tool Door Hinge Pin tool's pin should really be made of hardened steel and pressed into a socket in the body, but instead the body is one-piece and the pin is machined-down, so any lateral force can bend and snap the pin. Otherwise the construction of fine.Handy for removing female sockets from EC-2/3/5 connector housings on LiPo battery packs.
