Was initially impressed by the gauge of the steel used, however my impression quickly changed.It appears the manufacturer used the most mild steel available. It seriously must be some left over pot steel from Mao’s Great Leap Forward. The ripper bent after a single use in soil that was already broken up by a back hoe and tilled once over.To the Chinese manufacturers: please heat treat STEEL TOOLS. Otherwise it’s just cheap chinesium junk like this product.

I was skeptical, but this works! I used it to dig up rocky West Virginia soil and it did not bend or break! It is a great tool for small areas!

I wouldn't recommend using this on extremely hard or rock soil, to me the weak point is the Reese part of the unit

Very poor metal quality. Metal immediately broke after 5 minutes of use. Worked great for the 5 minutes it was in one piece - then immediately t broke in half.

Broke in half in use. Likely hit a rock but I expected it to either remove the rock or drag over it.
