Your cart is empty.Cool beats, a happy-go-lucky attitude, and lyrics ranging from hanging in the sun to social commentary: Reggae is lyrically multilayered and surprisingly complex, but always laid back and a guarantee for good times. A part of the typical soundscape: the melodica. To reflect the relaxed attitude of musician and music alike, we redesigned the melodica to fit better into this scene. The result: the Airboard Rasta. A beautiful colorway and sturdy construction are combined with the sound of the classic melodica. Thanks to the airtight construction, the sound is crisp and voluminous, and the newly designed mouthpiece makes it incredibly comfortable to play. The Airboard Rasta is available with 32 and 37 keys.

Overall pleased with this item. My only critical opinion would be I wish the mouth piece was longer. I think you can buy a longer adapting mouth piece. Great for the price and vivid color. Love the carry case.

I expected more from Hohner. I guess you could say I bought this right away because I liked the way it looked and didn't know much about melodicas. I knew hohner was one of the most popular brands of, as well as the inventors of the melodica . Upon opening the package I came across a Sticker that said made in China. I was already dissapointed without even playing it. The body is a very flimsy plastic and the blowflow mouth piece doesn't fit well . Not tuned well whatsoever . Hohner melodicas used to be manufactured in Germany, and I believe are much higher quality, and much more expensive than the ones now made in China. I would recommend yamaha or Suzuki for this price range in melodica and could probably say they are 5 times better . If you want a cheaper melodica go with woodnote

Prompt delivery. Made in China yes, but let's face it, you'll be buying this one for the sweet Rasta colors and overall look. The mouth piece isn't my favorite but you can actually remove the links and make it shorter if you have the right tools. Nice loud crisp sound but not the same tone as the older German made Hohner melodicas. One of my favorite things is the green and gold Jamaican colored carrying bag. If you love reggae, Rasta colors, and melodicas this is a must own!

I got this one for my 10 years old son. I thought a Hohner at about 113$ (Canadian $ with taxes) with such a stylish look would be a great instrument for his collection. First, the Jamaican Rasta look is lovely and the included bag is a sweet addition. The Melodica has a nice overall tone in general (although I am not an expert) and my son loves it so far. However, to be honest, I was somehow surprised and disappointed with the plastic and build quality of this Hohner Melodica... Now the box itself seemed to me as if it was opened. Perhaps the seller wanted to verify that everything is included before shipping it... It did not seem to me like a box packaged and closed at the manufacture. I could be wrong... Now back to the Melodica: The plastic quality is disappointing. It feels like the plastic we see in a 30$ toy (instrument)... Also, the Melodica's body parts don't have the best assembly quality out there. The mouthpiece is on the rigid side when it comes to adapting its angle and requires some force to fit firmly and properly in the instrument. However, we can remove some of the small parts of the mouthpiece to make it shorter. All in all, I think this Hohner Melodica is, as some already mentioned, mainly attractive for its Rasta look and the included bag. It sounds OK and I am glad my son loves the look and he enjoys playing it. Now let's see how durable it will be... If you want it for the look, go for it but perhaps, better options (same price vs quality) could be available out there.
