Pulled it out of the box and followed the set up directions. This carb only needed the curb idle adjusted. I've always been an edelbrock guy but after put this HOLLEY on my 85 c20 never again. Great product and made my truck run the best its ever ran. Good job Holley!!!!!Update:It's been 2 months and unfortunately I had to remove this carb and go back to my Edelbroken. For some reason it leaned out and I couldn't get it to adjust. Started making my truck afterfire on deceleration and lost vacuum pressure somewhere. So I'm back to my edlebrock 650 for now until I can figure out what my truck actually likes. Good carb while it was working.

I.have the same type of carburetor on.my other hot rod and it's a nice carburetor work great rite out of the box so decided to buy one for the street rod and the help with the replacement

The Amazon seller Racers Source delivered on-time at a very good price! Holley 0-80457S 600 CFM Street Warrior Carburetor came very well packaged, with all documentation, easy to understand installation guide, small parts and accessories for a quick installation. Best of all, the carb was virtually dialed in right out of the box! I removed the old carb, installed this new one, and was driving my Jeep CJ5 304 V8 within 30 minutes. I have a dash mounted vacuum gauge and tachometer, so it was very easy to make the small tweaks needed to dial this in, as I like it. The 600 CFM on paper might be more than needed, but based on my accumulated miles, I am very happy with this choice. My Jeep now starts right up, the throttle response is amazing, and I no longer smell like rich exhaust when I get home!

This review is for a Holley Street Warrior carb.I put the carb on a 1962 Thunderbird with a 390 engine.I used the original linkage.The only adjustment I made was to turn the idle down a little.I did not hook up a vacuum gauge or a tach or timing light.I own all three.I go by the policy of "if it ain't broke,don't fix it".The car now runs extremely well.

Excellent product - comes out of the box and bolts right on ready to go. One complaint - or caution - if you get the polished aluminum carb, which I did, the full vacuum hose connection to the carb is at the rear base, not under the electric choke like it shows in the instructions. the hose attachment under the electric choke on the polished aluminum carb is just a plug. Found that out the hard way when my PCV valve wasn't working and I was getting a bunch of blow back. Had to find out using an online search.

only minimal tuning was required. very impressed. ran very well as delivered , Choke , idle speed , fast idle speed and even mixture screws were adjusted very close to perfect.

i replaced my old carb with this one on a second generation chevy camaro with a 350. i tryed rebuilding the old one but it was useless. this carb is bolt and go. i did not have to make any adjustments and it was easy to install. the car started right up, and has run great ever since, no more hard starting or stalling. i would recomend this carb for replacement and it is good for regular street driving

I restored a 1966 427 4-spd Corvette about 5 years ago. The carb was missing, and the Holley I used was too big, and always ran too rich. I was able to determine that the Holley 4160 600CFM was very close to the original spec. I installed it, and after resetting the timing, and the car runs perfectly. I was so happy with the performance on the Corvette, I bought another for my Blazer K5 convertible, that had similar issues with over-fueling. I dropped another 4160 600 on it, and it runs better than new. These are decent carbs, and both were set up well, right out of the box.
