I order this couple of days ago for my elderly parents. They are in their 80's and 90's. The oscillating can they had in their bedroom died at the beginning of this heat wave. It's 105° today but it was 113° couple of days ago. My parents do not have AC. Their bedroom is like an oven. And I wanted to get them a replacement fan and help cool them off. So I was excited about surprising them with this fan for their bedtime. But, while putting it together, I noticed it was missing the back mounting piece to keep the blade from coming off or moving. I could use the piece that mints the base to the post but then it wouldn't be able to stand. So I tried calling Holmes and off course being east coast, they are closed. They close at 5 EST. Which is 2pm PST. Amazon was going to give me their number but it's the same number I called. Guess I'm going to have to try tomorrow or can Amazon back and hopefully get the part or my money back. Very disappointed that it is missing this one part. Elderly people just want a simple working fan that you plug in and turn on. But with quality. They don't understand rechargeable or have USB plugs or cords. When putting it together, I'll be honest. The blades are very flimsy and feels very cheaply made. Not something I'm used to from Holmes. Since it's going to start cooling in a couple of days, which will be after I get a new one or the replacement part, I just might return it and just buy one from Home Depot or Wal-Mart tomorrow, in person.
