Not much to report here. Plastic casting may be a little rough, but threads were clean and smooth, and no issues sealing properly.Great source of replacement bungs.

I've had a plastic barrel for several years that I got for a rain barrel but never actually used it. Now I needed it for a water reservoir for our new ducks, and I had to replace one of the plugs that was split and wouldn't seal. I didn't have a bung wrench, but I DID have a 3D printer, so with a quick search on thingiverse, I found a good design and a couple hours later, I had a nice wrench. It fit the original bungs perfectly, if not actually a bit loosely.Well, when it came time to screw in these new bung caps from Homaisson, I was disappointed to find that the X-shaped slots in the center were too small for my wrench. I got by using a pair of ChannelLock pliers, adjusting them where the plier nose was spaced about right to match the slot, but it was far from ideal. I did manage to get a good seal, so in the end I'm fairly happy -- although I will warn you that the slots in these are definitely much smaller than the slots in the original bung caps. The other minor issue is that only the coarse plugs have a smaller knockout in the center, and if you knock it out, you're just left with a plain hole. The original plug/cap actually had a 3/4" threaded center that you could use directly if you knocked out the center circle. Since I'm not planning on doing that (currently), it's not that big a deal for me. Still, that's a pretty convenient feature that these bung caps don't have: the dual purpose of using them as a 2" (coarse) to 3/4" NPT reducer bushing. In my photos, I've tried to show all of these differences, comparing these Homaisson caps with the originals that came with my plastic barrel. Overall, I'm happy enough with these, but they could be better.
