I originally bought similar hinges at Home Depot at twice the price. They turned out to be wrong for the fence gate I had just built. Returned them and found these at a much lower price. Installed easily and looks great. No issues. I didn't want the gate to slam shut so I set it at the lowest tension. Couldn't be happier with these little guys.

I bought these for a fence gate so I could have a latch free/hands free entry gate on the side of the house. I originally bought 1 set and it didn't have enough spring to keep the door closed adequately even at the tightest setting. So I bought another set thinking it would increase the tension. It worked! for a while... Over time the springs loose tension and you have to keep tightening them. They also creak quite a bit. Went to tighten again today because the door won't stay closed even with 4 of these hinges. Tired of messing with it. I would not buy again. You get what you pay for in this case... Stay away.

These hinges appear to be very durable and should last a very long time. Also, screws are included, which is a bonus because you will find that not all hinges include mounting screws.

They seem decently sturdy. About the same quality as one would expect to find at the big orange box. The springs don't seem particularly strong though. They "barely" close my 3 foot'ish gate with enough force to actuate the spring-tensioned lever/handle. Sometime it still requires a nudge. Generally the fence gates hinges are large. This pair of hinges is not strong enough. The screws provided are very small and thin. The gate needs to be pushed almost near the closed position and then the hinge helps.

Unable to make these work on small wooden garden gate. Returned.
