Product Description

What is a Radiator Cap?

  • The radiator cap holds the coolant inside the radiator, but it also works as a two-way valve that keeps the right pressure inside so the radiator does it work correctly. If the pressure isn't maintained, the coolant can boil and evaporate, putting the engine at risk of overheating.

  • Designed to function on open cooling systems and overflow reservoir type systems and allows the cap to be installed and removed much easier.

  • Allows the cap to be installed and removed much easier than conventional radiator caps, because the shell of the cap rotates independently from the upper sealing gasket, stem and bottom plate.Once you have a replacement and your engine is cool, simply unscrew the old cap and screw on the new cap.

My coolant pressure wasn't allowing the coolant to recirculate properly, and I think changing the cap fixed it.The cap fit nicely and has good action.

The radiator cap did not fit nor would I use it if it did because of the POOR QUALITY and thin metal used in its construction. The metal cap was so thin and dangerously sharp it would damage and cut in to 100% of plastic radiators in automobiles this is supposed to fit. Returned and bought another one.

Mine came stamped with the denso “ND” on it as one reviewer said theirs didn’t. Clearly, it is not a Denso, but no one will ever know except me
