These were very well insulated and after wearing for a week none of the straps came undone, very rare with my horses. Great and inexpensive.

Our paint usually grows a pretty heavy winter coat so we only blanket her in the coldest weather. This year we’ve been hit with some brutal cold so I put this blanket on her because it fits a little better than others we have. While not overly heavy it appears to be adequate for our girl. The other thing I noticed is that it kept her dry in some fairly decent snow fall. Even though she has full access to the barn she likes to be outside and I haven’t noticed her shivering with this blanket on. The only thing I don’t like is the buckles on the front. While she’s pretty good about standing still it can be a challenge to hook them if she’s anxious to get out. I would say overall the quality is decent but not quite as good as the Weatherbeaters we have but also nowhere near as expensive.

Have only tried it on one horse so far. Fits the mustang very well. Will be a nice addition to the stable in cold weather. Appears well made and sturdy enough to hold up for a while.UPDATE: we have one horse that is very happy. The others are wondering why they are not so loved. A snow storm rolled in last night so we had the opportunity to test it out. The blanket stayed on all night and stayed in place. The horse is a semi-wild mustang about 3 years off the Plains. She is still pretty skiddish around almost everyone except her 13 year old owner/trainer. She was very content to have the blanket on and shows no sign of wanting to shed it in this weather. She seems very comfortable with it. We may need to get a couple more so the rest of the pack doesn't feel neglected.

Overall it's a decent blanket but the way they describe the measurements are in feet and cm which I've never seen before when looking for a new blanket. Normally my horse wears an 82-84 inch which measures from the middle of her chest to her rear, these measure in feet from the withers to the ground. My horse is a 17 hh, 1300lb Thoroughbred and by their measurements she would wear a 68-74 which is in no way going to fit her.

This is a very nice quality blanket for the price. I was actually surprised that it was as well made as it is. It was easy to put on and I like the added fleece around the neck. It did rain and I noticed this horse did stay dryer than the other blanketed horses. The front has buckles instead of clips, which isn’t my favorite, but effective and functional. The belly straps are the typical surgical straps and are easy to use. The legs have the typical clips. All the straps have adjustable straps. I was able to shorten them so that there was no risk my horse could get his hoof caught up in it. I felt very good about the fit for a turnout blanket. My horse has stayed very warm despite the freezing temperatures. It’s a very nice vibrant blue with large and very reflective accents. It’s by far the most reflective of the 4 blankets. For the price I would absolutely purchase it again.

Overall a nice 200g weight blanket, not overly heavy but still good warmth. Color is accurate to pics of a true blue. Has all the needed and expected straps and buckles including an open front. It feels a little on the cheaper side for material but not really bad. Might rip easier then some other brands.
