I got this for my elderly, blind mini donkey. When temps drop into the low 30s and 20s I like to give her a little extra help in staying warm. She's a small sicilian mini donkey, and the medium foal size fits her pretty well. It doesn't fit over her head when the front buckles are fastened (donkey heads are a lot bigger than horse heads) so we just put it over her back and then fasten it. My other mini donkey is larger (and wider) and wears size large. I like this recent version of the blanket because the leg straps are not permanently sewn to the blanket. They have clips so that you can replace them if they get stretched out. My only complaint is that the colors are all very bright. It would be nice to have something a little more subtle. For now she looks like a little grape, and I imagine my neighbors are getting a good chuckle when they drive by...

I bought the large for my now on a 5 month old Arab weanling (she was just under 4 months when I bought it and tried it on her the first time). Not sure what kind of foal/weanling would be this long in the body and so skinny in the neck. From day one the length of the body was bit long, but just what I wanted for her to grow into. The leg straps were good, underbelly strap good. The quality of the blanket is very good. The issue comes on the front closures. The top one, from the first time I tried it on her, had to be placed on the last hole (near the end) and the bottom one on the third hole in. The blanket fits but there is not much longevity on wearing when the straps on the front are already at the last hole the first day you use it. It's all good, she's just now gotten to the point that she is just about ready to move into the next size blanket, but I would have liked to be able to use this for more than a month.

I got the blanket yesterday completely faded in one part. I can’t return it because I had to immediately use it, but this is unacceptable. The item was probably left in the sun for months and the top side faded. Then they sent it to me.

I Purchased 2 for our Mini Donkey Weanlings that are 8 and 9 months old. Previously i purchased 2 420D rain sheets for Minis. All the products from this company run large. The quality is good however and if they fit they would do a good job of keeping my donkies warm. Just frustrated at the sizing and we measured according to their chart.The Pink blanket is not from this company. Its actually a dog blanket. The Blue and Maroon are the Tough 1 products.

Super happy with this blanket. I had a hell of a time finding a blanket to fit our mini donkey as he's an awkward size. Too big for most mini stuff, too small for pony stuff, too long (usually) for foal stuff. This one fit him really nicely and so far (about a month later) I have no complaints. It's holding up nicely even for a young trouble making Jack.The *only* downfall I found is that his big belly sticks out the bottom a bit, but without a big belly band blanket I'm sure that would happen with all of them.
