I love the idea of horseshoe spacers for several use cases, including spacing from the deck of a tub or for vertical tile installations.These are pretty low price and seem to be fully reusable - the plastic is very firm and for the most part is smooth. There are two small circles that are slightly lower from when it was molded, but they are small enough I don't think they'd ever cause a problem as long as the spacers are removed before the mortar fully hardens (days after placing in cement mortar). The plastic is very rigid and also recovers nicely from being pinched with a sharp corner - I used the caliper's chiseled portion to measure, pinch, and measure the recovery after releasing pressure.I measured 10 of these to see how consistent the sizes are and all measured between .187 and .191 (3/16 is .1875). That's much better than the simple rubber spacers, which on one I tested varied between .168 and .192 on different legs of the same spacer, with the cuts also not being square and squishing easily. This also is more accurate than the QEP Lash XTreme 3/16 spacers I have on hand, which the 10 I measured were between .191 and .194.If you are working with metric measurement tiles, please be aware these are actually about 4.8mm, not the 4.5mm shown in the product title and ensure that will work for your tiles before buying.

There is not much to these, other than the fact that they serve their purpose well! Weirdly, I could not find horseshoe shims in any of the big box stores, so buying them here was a life saver. The 1/16" worked great for my subway tile in my shower renovation and best of all, they are a smooth plastic so they come out of the grout lines easily the next day! I got the 200pc bag, but I'd highly recommend the 400pc bag....you always need more than you think!

These spacers worked as I had hoped. The 3/16 depth was pretty consistent with all of the ones I checked. I've used them for different applications other than tiling to fill those gaps that are found during finishing work.For the price, these were a good purchase and when I run out I'll order them again.

Just did a bathroom tile job with 6 inch hex tiles. Needed a large amount of spacers for each hex side and these fit the bill. I like the 1/8 inch gap for narrow grout lines. These say they are plastic but they have some give to them so they don't just break if you bend them. In fact they slide out of the grout lines easily the next day and not one broke in the process.
