before you get this make sure it is the same length as the one installed, I got one from homedepot but it was too short even though it LOOKED like the same valve. Found this one which matched the length of my existing valve. 2nd,, there was alot of returns on this, and I think i know why as I almost returned it myself. Before installing it tighten the nut in the middle as much as you can, if you do it by hand or install it as is, it will LEAK. It will get screwed into the hardware and you'll have to unscrew it with some plyers if it's too lose and cause a leak thru the handle. that won't happen if you tighten the snot out of it, barely even able turn the valve manually.

I bought this to replace a leaky packing nut. Make sure you teflon and dope the stem and also the packing nut thread. Working as intended and happy with my purchase.
