I purchased this to use to control the valve on my fish pond. The voltage measured a little bit high, but that doesn't seem to have been a problem for this application.

Simple to install. Must know and request either ac or dc model depending on what your need is.

Works well and has internal thermal protection to shut down if it gets hot. I had a partially shorted LED wire which caused the excess current drain.

According to specs this was an exact replacement. The unit only works as designed 1 out of 5 attempts. Contacted Mfr Tech Sppt line, left a msg, and never got a response.Unit is for "under the counter" halogen lamp string. System has a 3 step 'on' sequence - Lo, Med, Hi. 'Lo' & 'Med' work fine; Hi only works 1 in 5 trys. Lights dimming and blink on Hi until they decide to work on subsequent attempts.Very disappointed at lack of response.I do not recommend this company & item.

When using this outdoors, it will still trip a GFCI when it gets wet. I had to put it in a weathertight housing before I could keep it from grounding out.It otherwise works as expected. I’m using it as part of a doorbell system.
