Hello just received and tried using this wheel. It has a horrible wobble making it impossible to center clay or make anything. Amazon customer service tried to assist with very ineffective trouble shooting tips such as plugging it into a different outlet. I have to return it as unusable. Very disappointed.

I really wanted a larger diameter wheel head, as I am used to pro wheels and the smaller one I bought here years ago has a smaller head for which I manufacted pin holes. On those wheels it is easier to center the clay because the top speed is much higher. When I want to trim the piece, the low speed is too fast and the clay gets damaged easily. The pedal is awkward as well, and works in preset stages rather than a truely variable speed control. Removing the piece from the bat with a wire without fiddling with the looseness every time I put another square section in requires a very low speed, but as I say, you just can't get it to go slowly enough for that. Also, as noted in the other review, the square inner bat in the bat system that comes with it is loose. I jammed some clay into the 3/32" gap and it doesn't move around, but that defeats the system's purpose of a swappable section. In short, it needs a better motor, foot pedal, and bat system. I will use a standard bat from Speedball, and if it doesn't fit, I will drill new holes and make it work somehow. I think I will always struggle with this wheel, but I'm retired and the money still hasn't started to grow on the trees in my yard. But that's another story.

My teen daughter got this for Christmas but the bats that came with it have a removable interior square that made it hard to center the clay. We tried to buy a singular piece bat at a local supply store but it didn’t fit the pins. I asked the supplier how to buy the bats that are pictured with other models but received no reply. Where can I buy normal bats for this wheel (all one piece and preferably not cardboard-type material)?
