So, I have a Colorado and it’s at the very LIMIT of what it can tow (3500lbs) with my TT. I wanted to give it the best hand up I can with a good WD setup. Installation was a breeze with the exception of the fact I ordered a 2†ball and needed a 2 5/16â€. So I had a heck of a time changing it torqued to 9 bazillion foot pounds. Make sure you order the right one :). It took a few adjustments to find the sweet spot In hindsight I recommend loading the camper and truck up before adjusting hight :). Pro tip :). As far as the noises it makes I had expected that from others comments and I don’t let it alarm me. The stability is superb nearly zero away. I will say one thing I learned, these camper makers are CHEAP ( ok well we all knew that ) but here’s something you may not know. The axle on my rig is rated for 3000 lbs. they are so cheap they expect that extra 3-500 lbs to be placed on the to tongue and get away with a cheaper axle. Be aware of this ! You are now transferring some of that weight back to the axle and possibly overloading it. I don’t fill my tanks and I am very careful what I pack because I am so close to the limit of my poor truck but if you are planning to haul some gear and water is 10lbs a gallon consider the weight you are distributing back to the axle(s) and what ITs ratings are. At any rate I am very happy with this hitch it’s easy to use and very effective at eliminating sway (which is what I wanted it for). I rate it 5 stars. PS. This thing is STUPID HEAVY. I mean like OMG heavy. Like you better leave the UPS driver a cold beer heavy…. It’s easily 130-150 lbs…. And add that to your GCWR too :). This thing means business it’s solid heavy duty steel.

I use this on my Wolf Pup 16FQ and Ford Explorer. For the price, it's perfect. It's a lot of work to attach/detach the sway bars, but that's to be expected. I have noticed I had to keep tightening the connection point for those bars as well- be careful of that. I think that was due to the installation from a less experienced person at the camper dealership though. This hitch works exactly as it should and i never feel any sway from the camper on my relatively smaller SUV.

This wasn't overly difficult to install, however I watched several youtube videos prior to it arriving in order to prepare myself for the installation. I ran into a few issues which were completely my own fault. I assumed the trailer tongue on my pop-up was at least 4 inches, however, about midway through the installation I discovered it was only three inches. While you can still mount the brackets, there will be a gap between the bottom bolt and the bottom of the tongue frame which will allow the brackets to slide. I fixed the issue by welding a 1 inch piece of square metal to the bottom of the tongue and now the brackets fit perfectly. I am pulling the pop-up with a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport, which has low ground clearance at the hitch. My pop-up also sits low, which made it to where I needed the receiver to be turned downward instead of upward in order to get the pop-up and vehicle perfectly level. I was unable to do it because it would have left only 6 inches of clearance from the ground to the bottom of the hitch. I just turned the receiver upward and set the brackets at the lowest setting which got it close to level, but the tail of the pop-up is still slightly lower than the tongue. After a test run down the highway, I immediately noticed the difference. I could hardly tell the pop-up was behind me. No sway and the vehicle handled like it does without anything hooked up. The pop-up weighs approx 2500lbs loaded, so it is close to the max that my vehicle can tow. This hitch made a world of difference and I feel much safer pulling the pop-up. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good quality hitch with built in sway control. Also, the fact that I can back up without having to disengage a separate sway bar is awesome.

Ford F-150 towing a 2016 R-Pod 179. This is an excellent WDH (weight distribution hitch) and sway control. Instructions are fairly straight forward. Materials are first class - heavy gauge and very heavy. Once properly installed and adjusted, it will do its job, but beware it does "moan" as you turn and travel with it. The noise isn't bad but at first you'll be thinking something is wrong but you'll get used to it; if it is making noise, it is doing its job. You'll want to practice mounting and dismounting the bars. It takes some practice but once you totally understand how it works, the easier it will be. trust me - practice!

I am a senior woman trying to learn to do things on my own. After looking at this hitch I thought it was just what I needed for my tent trailer, However the arms are too long for the tongue on the trailer. So, knowing I bought this on Amazon I was certain a return/refund would be no problem, right? Well, I was wrong, I understand paying for the shipping fee, but they also want a restocking fee of 50%. by the time I pay that and shipping I will have nearly bought the thing twice. I don't see where that is fair. It is a very nice hitch I will never use but, lesson learned. Just be aware of what you purchase and how much it will cost you to return it. Just might not be worth it.

I have owned 9 RV's, all towables, and this is by far the best hitch I have owned. Everything about this hitch is heavy duty. It is relatively easy to install as long as you follow the manufacturers instructions. I bought this hitch because I was tired of the friction sway controls that require you to remove them when backing and this hitch has the sway control built in.Update 10/1/21This hitch is very very noisy especially if you are towing with something besides a pickup truck i.e. SUV. It moans and groans whenever you make any turn, so be prepared for some odd looks at the campground. There is also a learning curve for hitching and unhitching if you are used to the old-style chains. It takes a while to figure out the lifting tool and where to place it to get the bars on and off. Once you figure it out it works well. If you are going to buy this hitch and you don't have a power jack on you RV, I suggest you spend the money and buy one, as it will save you a lot of sweat.

Heavy! Where the stabilizers rest it rusts. I’ve read not to grease it here, but then how long before the rust wrecks it?

This product is one of the best peice of equipment i got for thr rv. The driving experience is 200 times better, no bouncing swaying and you get a level drive. Best 600$you can spend and its portable since the range of weight is wide.
