Wish I had bought this kit a long time ago to clear brush and heavy weeds from my hillside. Also bought a carbon-tipped circular blade to take out even heavier stuff and saplings. Cleared out about an acre of jungle growth this summer. The Husqvarna blade really gets after it and does not foul in heavy vines and reedy grasses. A great recommendation from my tree trimmer, glad I got it!

I found a video on YouTube that explained how to install the kit. Fit perfectly on my 223L. The brush cutter did an excellent job taking down a thick section of of overgrown weeds and bramble. Very pleased with the results.

This was claimed to work with my Husqvarna 322L I just bought at Lowes. It did fit the head, but the instructions didn't match the parts provided. The parts were not clearly labeled either. The "j handle" doesn't work with my loop handle version apparently so that's trash.The strap comes with this massive warning label that can't be removed.The guard is smaller than the existing guard for the string attachment. It seems like the existing one is safer.Honestly, if husqvarna just sold the nut and washer attachment for cheap, I'd be happier. Instead, I spent a lot of money on stuff I mostly don't need. It is pretty sweet to have the ability to add stuff to the head without worrying about buying a whole new head attachment like Troy Bilt does.

Brush cutter works pretty well. The blade wasn't really sharp but it's easily filed. The instructions weren't great but Youtube cleared things up. It didn't come with a lock pin, maybe it came with the string trimmer but who knows where it is now. I just used a nail to lock the head and it worked fine. Keep in mind that the shaft is reverse threaded.

Blade is suitable for grass cutting, not brush. No instructions, and no adapter fitting for changing guard over on trimmer unless you have an identical guard.
