This is probably my ignorance so to people like me out there, the description said 1/2" thread size but if your measuring the size of the thread it's more like 3/4", they use a different measurement than the actual thread.

Well made and appears to be zinc coated. (Along with the threaded mounting plate). Easily screws in. The cap itself appears to be a simple foam sponge inside, which works fine for me because I just need it to vent a bucket that I use for storing waste oil. Should help improve flow and prevent "chugging" and splashing when I pour it out at the recycling center.

Just worked great for my wood splitter tank, and keeps the weather out. Came with a nice mounting flange, that was easy to install.
