For me, looks great. Fit my chrome center bolt small block Chevy valve covers really tight. Like, borderline too tight. So, that's a plus.

We bought the for our '88 Chevy Camaro. Since the valve cover description states a 1-1/4" oil filler plug will work on those covers, we ordered the to match our air filter. It DOES NOT FIT - too loose, falls right out. In looking at the problem, we tried the because it has a flared end (acutally wider than 1.25", but it DOES NOT FIT EITHER - the flared end does not extend far enough to get past the long collar of the filler hole. The Spectre valve cover oil filler hole is actually 1.31". Clever for Spectre to do this so you HAVE to buy their plugs, which have an extra long shaft so that it will fit down past the collar of their filler hole.) The extra length of this Spectre Oil Filler Plug, or their Billet Style plug, is mandatory with these valve covers. This cap luckily is made well, and we are satisfied now that we know we should have ordered it in the first place.

I suggest NOT to try and force the cap into place (like everything else no GREAT force should be used)My engine came with aftermarket Valve Covers, with a smaller grommet had been substituted ... I ended up getting a new grommet, to suit this stock szed, Chrome Oil Filler Plug :)It is very secure and yet come out easily when neededJust for clarity, the order is for ONE ONLY Chrome Oil Filler Plug .. some Amazon shoppers, though it was for 2 pieces.

UPDATE after 3 months/ 20 drives. Melted a hole in the top of the cap. My engine does run really hot about 200* racing application.Fits perfect. Pops right in and tight. Replaces the ugly fill neck. Only comes with one tho. Pictures show two.
