I installed a garden hose inlet on the inlet and a silicone tube on the outlet, with this setup I can insert the tube into my RV fill port and filter any water through carbon block filter as it fills my tank. I use the same filters as my whole house filter system, so i can simply rotate these filters into the RV filler as i replace them, for zero incremental operating cost.Durable - I dropped it once on asphalt and it survived. Also, fun to watch the water flow through the transparent housing.

Bought two to use on an RO system. Work really well and so far no leaks. Wish they came with the 1/4 threaded connectors so I didn't have to go buy a 10 pack separately, but that is a very minor gripe.The only issue I had is with Amazon's shipping method. They put two of these canisters in a box with zero packing material. One of the housings had a chunk of one of the reinforcing ribs broken from them slamming together in shipping. I didn't want to risk that causing a crack or leak at some point, so I had to return it for a replacement. A couple cents worth of packing paper would have avoided all this.

I bought this because the R/O system dealer told me to replace the sediment filter container. As it turned out I needed the whole thing because the head was cracked right where the input valve was.Anyway, the housing worked great. And I would definitely buy again if one of the other housings has a problem.

We RV a LOT in a 25 ft. sprinter chassis RV. so, We needed a filter that fit our Camco filter holder which is designed to accommodate filters with 4 ribs (most standard filter cases have 5 ribs on them. These fit the need great. They come with standard hose attachments - 1 male & 1 female. We got 2 - one for a sediment filter and the other for a carbon filter. Very sturdy.

I have a Bluonics RO system that uses 10" filters. My plastic canister cracked halfway down and flooded the kitchen while I was at work. I really didn't want to pay $150+ for a new system. I bought this to see if it would just screw on to the old plastic top. For the price it was worth a try. To my delight it was exactly the same canister. Slightly more to the purple side but fit like it came with it. Saved me a lot of trouble and $. With the mess I really didn't need another hassle.

I put 2 of these together for whole house water filtration.The water goes through the sediment filter then the carbon block filter.I change them every 3 months.I am amazed at how much rust and other contaminants are in the water....yuck!! Lastly I pour the tap water through a Brita pitcher for better taste.Hope this helps

I replaced a broken filter housing with the Hydronix HF2-10CLWH14 10" clear housing, and it's been awesome. Super easy to install, fits perfectly with my filtration system, and that clear design is a handy feature. I can quickly check for any gunk or problems inside. Those 1/4" ports work like a charm. Overall, it has been a solid addition to my setup, and I am pretty darn pleased with it.

Unlike a similar product from Pentek, also sold by Amazon, this one doesn't leak. The bracket I made for the Pentek lines up perfectly with the mounting holes on this one. Bonus.

I have a long story about how my under-the-sink filter for drinking water in my kitchen was leaking. It used a tortured sequence of thread adapters to connect to 1/4" tubing from my cold water line. The quick connect fittings to the 1/4" tube were leaking.This housing is affordable, can hold a GAC-10 filter for drinking water, and has 1/4" threaded holes that can use cheap fittings for 1/4" tube - no thread adapters necessary. It simplified my setup and fixed my leak problem.
