I had my doubts after assembly that the small pump could possibly circulate enough water to get nutrients and water to every little pod, but it works. It’s fairly simple mechanically— the water level indicator is just a little float thingie— but it makes much less to go wrong. I’m going to put baby strawberry plants in mine in a few months. I like the staggered layout and the minuscule footprint relative to the number of plants. Brilliant.

The DPROOTS Hydroponic Tower Growing System has an excellent design and easy assembly. It has a small footprint so it could work in a dormroom. It's also very lightweight so it could be assembled/used someone who isn't strong. It is easy to fill and to get the plants sprouted. Unfortunately, it isn't cat proof (nor did I expect it to be). My cat had a lovely time nibbling on the salad greens I attempted to grow. With the help of the balanced construction and water filled base, she was able to scale the tower and have access to any plant she desired. I was just happy it didn't tip over. When it warms up, I'll try this outside.

I'm planning to place it indoors since I have extra grow lights at hand. I can't wait to give it a shot. With the grow lights, I'm confident that the plants in the hydroponic tower will thrive even without natural sunlight directly. I'm already imagining fresh herbs and leafy greens sprouting up in no time. This is going to be such an exciting gardening adventure right in the comfort of my own home!
