My boys both swim, and swim well. We’ve had them in lessons since they were infants. But with an upcoming trip to the Dominican Republic I was worried. The resort had a lazy river, which can be intimidating if you can’t touch the bottom, and we were going to be in the ocean a ton. I thought that buying them good lifejackets that they could just wear while they played around the water would be a smart way to counter some of the danger I could not yet evaluate.What I was not prepared for was how much those lifejackets allowed us all to relax and have more fun. It allowed me to let the boys play a little harder, it allowed me to read a book while they played, it allowed me to know that no matter what, their heads would be above water and that would give us a much wider margin to solve any problems they might encounter.These Hyperlite jackets delivered!! Not only were they comfortable enough to wear an entire day, they also allowed me to easily see my kids in the water and out.Both of my boys (6&8) are between 50 & 55 lbs, so we were at the top end of the recommended weight. But when comparing to other jackets for larger kids, these felt more snug and the addition of the between the legs strap was a big win.The construction is top-notch with the zippers even working well in sand! Impressive build quality and soft-tough fabrics that allow all-day play. Best of all, they kept my kids faces above water, I know I’ve said that ready, but that was what I needed. Comfort and function!!Overall, these are and were amazing. I’m so thankful to have bought them and am very pleased with the experience. Do yourself a favor and buy some peace of mind for yourself and your kids, you will enjoy everything more as a result.

We bought two life vests, one for my son and one for my daughter. They were different brands and we far prefer this brand! The zipper closure ensured the vest fit the torso properly and didn’t slide up over his face. In the future, all my life vests will be zipper closures like this. Highly recommend.We used it in Mexico in the ocean as well as in a pool.

Purchased this for our 20 month old for when we are on the boat. It’s comfortable, doesn’t cut into his neck, and I love that it comes in a bright color. Parents, remember to purchase a color other than blue or green. If your child would ever need to be spotted in the water, a bright color like orange or red can be spotted instead of bleeding into the water. We tested it in the pool and worked magically. It does make the child go straight to his back. It will not allow the child to float upright due to the design.

I bought this for my daughter and we took it on vacation to the ocean. She used it in the pool and ocean and it worked great. It is made of quality material. I’m glad I made this purchase.

This will be a perfect life jacket for my daughter when she is a bit heavier. I ordered according to the weight limit. My daughter is 56 lbs. This jacket is still a bit to big for her so it rubbed under her arms and left her chaffed. Would recommend a long sleeve rash guard under it if the child is on the low end of the weight limit since its a little big and will rub instead of staying tight to body. Otherwise it was great. Colors are nice and vibrant so the child stands out in the water or in a crowd.
