My personal blender can’t do what this blender does for my protein smoothies! This blender makes them thick like milkshakes! A personal blender works for small things, but this whips me up a big protein smoothie that lasts me for about 3-4hrs, and it’s so emulsified, nothing separates. It heats bring out out my big heavy Vitamix too, because it is way bigger & I don’t require that much power. But THIS blender is perfect!! It has 2 blending canisters that turn into drink holder, with their pop tops. It’s easy to clean, I just add soap & water and blend, rinse, dry, put away. I’m able to prep my protein drinks for the day without having to do one by one. It cuts through ice, my frozen Açaà berry packs, frozen fruit, dates, and blends the protein into a thick milkshake style protein drink. I LOVE THIS MACHINE! It’s not any louder than any other personal style blender, but it’s way more powerful because of the wattage. The speed is great, it takes about 30 Seconds. It does want peak, the seals are tight, and it’s easy to clean right up! I make a great Orange Julius (if you know you know) with fresh oranges, 2 scoops vanilla protein powder, a little ice, & water. I make fresh fruit protein smoothie milkshakes with no milk! I make homemade Walnut milk, so I use 1 cup, 1/2 banana, cinnamon, 2 scoops Vanilla or Banana Protein Powder, & coffee (or just water) to get a great Walnut Bread (& Coffee) Protein Smoothie. It’s about 235 calories, 35g protein, 1-7 carbs (depending on if I use a fresh banana or Banana Protein Powder). I use Premier Protein powders mostly, but the Muscle Milk Banana Protein Powder is great too. Also PBFit gets added for different style Protein Smoothies (Banana PB, Chocolate PB, etc.) This blender whips all of them up amazingly, and the drinks are delicious, and is shockingly just like a milkshake, without the ice cream & Calories!! I can’t RECOMMEND THIS BLENDER Pkg ENOUGH!!! Get one!!! I’d give it 10 Stars if I could!

Update: I still love this product. It is hard to seat the item to get it to turn on if you have smaller weaker hands. I just use a gripper to turn it. I can tell it will get easier over time.This friend turned me onto his smoothie recipe. I went to make it in my nuwave small blender, and it died. I mean DIED. EXPIRED. It was no more! SMOKE came out of it! I had an antique one from 20 years ago I had never taken out of the box. Well, guess what: TRASH. Wouldn't run. I pulled out my old magic bullet that I had put back - about 15 years old. It died.I ordered this out of desperation. Delivered same day. WOW! It's AWESOME!

This unit is very much like the GNC Bullet blender I've had. So much so in fact that the lids are interchangeable. This has more power than the GNC, the only nice thing about it. Bad design in several ways. They have redesigned the gasket which is in the part with the blender blades. When you screw it onto the tumbler container you have to screw it snug to prevent leaking. When you remove it, to replace it with the drinking cap, the gasket clings to the rim of the tumbler, and comes out of the blender cap. Wouldn't be that much of an inconvenience except to say that it is actually too small a diameter to fit easily back into the groove where it goes. Get it in one side, and it pops out of the opposite. There's also raised areas, I suppose this is intended to keep the gasket down in place with use, but all they do is prevent your fingers from being able to press the gasket fully down into the groves circumference. Hence, this adds to the difficulty of getting the gasket to remain in the grove. One other design flaw, different than the GNC unit, is that when you attempt to remove or replace the blender you press the on off button inadvertently, starting the unit up, while holding it in order to grip the top and bottom for removal. The GNC model you had to rotate a dial to turn it on our off or select speeds, so it was not possible to inadvertently turn it on. Looking for a different unit, and to return this flawed design one. Wish I would have read reviews first.

I've had the iCucina Blender for a little over a year and it has been a workhorse for me. I've made at least 300 smoothies and used it for cooking related blending and it keeps rolling along. The plastic blender cups could be more durable - mine did survive drops from kitchen counter height, but a drop of one from the top of the fridge spelled doom for one of my two cups. Just before a year was up, a gasket on my blender cracked and I contacted Customer Service. They are very responsive and great to work with (thank you again Sylvia!!). After I sent some images and chatted with Sylvia, I received a replacement in the mail. For me, the iCucina Blender FAR surpasses battery operated competitors, especially when it comes to blending frozen fruit in smoothies. I'm looking forward to my next several hundred drinks! :)

This blender does the job as intended extremely well. My one and only personal gripe is it's really hard to get every part of the cup cleaned by hand. Other than that though, it does everything as intended and i love the fact it's fairly small and easy to stow away when needed.

This little blender is nice for me. I like to blend up fruit for various recipes, but it's never a large enough amount for me to want to use the massive blender we have. I like this because it's super easy to use and MUCH easier to clean than the big blender. I blend up some fruit with this and then add a little more when it's blended up. If I'm blending more than it can handle at once I just pour out what's blended into my mixing bowl and then blend up more. You're not supposed to put too much in or it won't work well, but if you understand this and use it as directed, it works. Sometimes the fruit gets stuck to the bottom and it can't get blended up there, but I just take the container off the mount, shake it up, and blend more.

I just used twice and the third time when I was using it started making a deeper motor sound and leaving smoke and never worked after that. I want refund or a new product replacement.
