I got it last week and have already tried it several times. I love it! Plus, the great price! Compared to my Vitamix, this one is perfect for my everyday use for small-batch smoothies, shakes, soups, and sauces. It's compact yet very powerful. It handles fruits, veggies, and ice easily. It's a great buy.

More and more, you are seeing appliances offered that are geared to single use, or single users. The idea being, if you aren't preparing food for a horde of folks, you don't need to keep and use a tool that is overkill for the job, and a pain to clean up.Enter the SIMPLUS Personal Blender for Kitchen, a low-cost but effective answer to that need for simplicity, as the name suggests. I used this unit to replace a larger, more expensive one that finally gave out. The long and short of it: this isn't a Cuisinart Blender, which in my use case, is a positive.I wanted a blender that was going to be easy to use, fast to clean up, and didn't require a second mortgage to pay for. I like the fact there is one button you press to engage the blender motor. There is no continuous mode; you have to hold the button down to blend. I like the fact the SIMPLUS Personal Blender nestles comfortably between my single user coffee maker and small toaster oven. I LIKE SMALL. I don't want or need something that looks like a Chevy Malibu engine block taking up my counter space.No thick user guide to the buttons, message panel, timers and assorted effluvia that infest so many up-sold units. Once the blender cup is locked in place with a simple twist, if you have a finger, you are ready to rock. It's just as easy to clean, too.Downside? You want downside? Well, the motor should not be run continuously for more than a minute, as the instructions advise. You can make the stainless steel blades last longer by not attempting to crush ice. Because the motor is small and the unit light, it is not too difficult to knock off balance, so you may want to steady it during use just to be extra careful.None of the downside listed deters me from recommending this as a good value single use blender. The four stars instead of five is just because a blender that sells for around $26 at the time of this writing is going to be as hefty and powerful as a big name blender that cost 10X more. For the money, this is a great little unit that will find a place in the hearts of bachelors, bachelorettes, and lovers of simple, useful technology everywhere.
