With the push of a button, your out-swinging door will be readily accessible. The included inside latch acts as a storm door lock, providing a layer of security to prevent unwanted opening of your door. This handle is ideal for replacing previous handles with screw post distances of 1 ¾". If the screw post holes in your door are not 1 ¾" apart, or in the case of a new installation, holes may need to be drilled into the frame of your door. I tried 3 similar models thinking any would work. All were deficient in some way. This brand was an exact original to my door. Even the color was exactly what was needed. Only downside is nighttime locking latch is below lever & hard to feel for.

This is a replacement for the original handle but seems like they cut some corners. There is less metal, feels lighter than original and the handle on the inside is shorter, I'm sure this was a way to keep their costs down.

This was a waste of $. It's VERY poor quality and didn't line up at all with our door. I missed the return window but at least Amazon gave me a $5 credit so at least it wasn't a complete loss for us...

I went to the big box hardware store and bought 2 handles. They both broke in less than a week. And the stores all carry the same product. No variety and poor quality.I bought this as my third option and I love it! Really good quality and easy to install.

The inside latch broke off and I had put 2 screws tapped together for opening the door, but it would no longer lock, so I ordered this one and the door I have is a older one it didn't line up properly on the bottom of the outside so I had to drill a different hole in order for it to fit properly and Also cut the spindle( with a metal cutter)that fits into where you press to open the door, and I'm not sure if I was shorted a screw but I also had to cut the longer one down to fit on the bottom of the inside of the door latch, I needed all 3 of the Plastic door plates provided to accommodate my door ( my X husband had jimirigged something that looked like crap) to hold the door shut as he did with Everything I've fixed of his "wonderful" work, but it's done and looks Great ðŸ‘
