Literally just a couple screws and they are installed. That is, of course, if you are installing them in pocket doors with the cutout already there. Which I believe is how most pocket doors come. Or replacing old ones. We did one replacement and two new doors, so a little of both. They fit just fine in both scenarios.We got three sets of the polished chrome ones, and they are shiny!Pros: easy install, professional look, good latchCons: the depression where you pull the door is too shallow. Our original ugly gold-colored ones were a little deeper, making it easier for your fingers to grip.

Got this to replace a 20-plus year old latch. Didn't need to read the instructions because it's so easy to install. Solid machining that'll last a long time. The color is a little bit darker than in the picture though.

Nice tight fit and feels sturdy.Only complaint is the lock mechanism is very hard to use. The “knob†is very small and takes a lot of force to engage the lock. I actually had to use a screwdriver on the other side to engage it. Im guessing it will loosen up over time and we really don’t ever lock the door it’s on but if you need to frequently lock the door this would be attached to it’s worth noting.
