This is a little bigger than I expected, but that turned out to be a good thing. Really nice looking and easy to use. It takes up a lot of counter space is only problem so far. It does make a fair amount of noise but if you run it at night it’s good. Nice and sturdy and easy to clean.

I can say this thing is heavy because of the well built cast compost mixer bucket. So far it seems to be working and I don't smell anything with the included activated charcoal. I will say just make sure to rotate the lock and unlock ring and press the center button to open the lid.

I did not realize that this would be as large as it is but that is a good thing! This is a staple in the kitchen now and absolutely love it! No complaints thus far and highly recommend!! Aesthetically pleasing.

Doesn't really make compost. More like brown, organic confetti. It dehydrates it and shreds it, but it just leaves brown...stuff. It doesn't decompose it like a real composter would. But, it at least makes kitchen waste smaller and easier to handle, and also makes the trash can fill up slower. Now, I say that to say this, this should still be good to use in soil as long as your soil has some microbes in it, or you add some to it. But just know it will have to decompose in the soil and might make your soil moldy (not a bad thing). I plan on taking this "stuff" and putting it in some home made soil for the nutrient components to feed the existing microbes I use.TLDR PROs and CONSPROS: Less kitchen waste Fewer trips taking out trash Makes the organic material easier to handleCONS: Does not make true compost This can be achieved more efficiently in a regular composter

This such an upgrade from my old compost bin! We do a lot of cooking and always have scraps to dispose of. This completely hides the smell and runs very quietly. It looks nice on the counter too, very good looking design. It takes up quite a bit of space though. Overall so worth it! My garden will forever benefit from this! Highly recommend to others wanting to reuse their scraps

i go this to try and better consolidate counter space as we normally used a large mixing bowl for all the kitchen scraps for a day or 2. This does a great jo on drying and breaking up all the kitchen matter and it looks very much like "dirt" when it's done running a cycle. it does use a good little bit of power however as it's rated at 500 Watts when operating, which I'm assuming is when the heating element is on to dry the food, which runs for a couple hours.
