Installs easily, securely with a satisfying “snapâ€. Very little side-to-side play. Low profile. Makes carrying my Leatherman SURGE a pleasure. I hardly notice it’s in my pocket.

I have tried many pocket clips for the Surge and they are always loose and slide back and forth. Even the leatherman brand clip. This clip is great!! Is solid and no side to side movement!!!

This pocket clip fits perfectly on the Surge. It feels taut, sturdy and has the right length for the big Surge. Time will tell as to durability.By comparison, the Leatherman universal clip for the Surge and Wave+ does not fit as well on the Surge. What I mean is that the Leatherman clip is a bit smaller at the prong head so that, once installed, the screw cap on the tool would shift sideways as the clip arm moves. That slack issue does not happen with the Wave+ since the LTG clip was probably made to fit the Wave+ specs. The LTG clip is also too short, IMO, for the Surge.I rate this product 5 stars and hope that a black as well as a stainless steel brush finish is made in the future.

So, the good: Clip is well-made, no sharp edges, seems properly formed, good springiness, and fits in the Leatherman Surge as it should. I expect it'll last a good long while, but of course time will tell. It comes with a small instruction sheet that is clear enough. The odd: Chrome plated, I presume carbon steel (a magnet sticks to it, at least). The Surge is brushed Stainless Steel, so a chrome clip just seems.... odd. Perhaps stainless is too brittle to stand up to pocket clip functions, so spring steel is required - and if so, that's fine. But rather than polished chrome, I'd like to see a finish that's a little closer matched to the tool. I'll see if I can brush the spare one with a wire wheel, perhaps. The irrelevant: I don't need two pocket clips. There's only one Leatherman and one of me. But all of them are sold in pairs... no idea why. But, I guess I'm happy about it in that I can try brushing the extra one to see if the finish looks better, and I don't have to worry about ruining it ¯_(ツ)_/¯Edit: I tried the wire brush on my desktop grinder, and a wire brush from a Dremel. The chrome is REALLY sturdy, I couldn't get the effect I wanted. So I put a grinding wheel on the Dremel and got the finish in the photo out of it - a bit more aggressive than I'd really like but I'll leave it for a couple of months, if I don't get corrosion then I'll try smoothing it out a bit from here.

Although it took longer than expected to ship, once it arrived it snapped into the Leatherman Surge easily and is working great. Just a heads up, it has a different finish than the Surge, it’s glossy rather than matte.

My Surge has stayed in my glove box in its sheath for the last four years. I don't like the bulk of the belt sheath, so I daily carried a Skeletool and left the Surge in the car. I was tempted to buy the ARC, but I got a pocket clip for my Surge and carried it instead. I'm glad I did, especially with how expensive the ARC is and how many broken ARCs I've seen online. This clip is inexpensive and better quality than the one Leatherman sells. For the price, it's worth trying, even if you only occasionally use your Surge.Update 2/18/2025:I've been carrying my Surge daily with no issues. I carried it in my pocket for a few months, and now I clip it onto my belt between my belt and pants. It takes the bulk out of my pocket and makes the weight of the Surge a nonissue. I reread some 1-star reviews and can only determine user error as the reason for the mentioned issues. I recommend the pocket clip to everyone with a Surge.

Was hoping this does what it says and stops the side-to-side slack the Leatherman clip has on the Surge. It didn't. The left notch on the clip didn't fit into the slot fully so there was still a lot of movement. Disappointing and a complete waste of money.

This clip fits way better than the one you get from leatherman!

Fits perfect on my Leatherman Surge. No movement whatsoever. Some people don't like the chrome, but I love it! Highly recommended!

I had to file these to get them to fit and the clip isn’t as tight as leathermans original or even other aftermarket clips so the knife is loose and has fallen out of my pocket at times. I replaced it with something better as the knife is too valuable to lose over a cheap clip.
