Installed on a 2018 Toyota Corolla, the perfect car for this product. Had no issues installing the plug, no issues (so far) with the 3M tape.

I used breadboard cables I had lying around to extend the LED strip where I wanted it. Works well so far for my 10th gen Civic hatchback. The OEM lighting was a joke. Check the pictures for before and after.Pros- Bright as all-heel- Easy to install- AffordableCons- Super short cable- Not a typical "waterproof" LED strip where it has a clear substance encasing the LEDs (this makes it look cheaper --doesn't diffuse light)- Not flexible (it's a rigid board)- Not trimmable (not sure if the strip can be cut and still work properly)** I cannot comment on longevity and reliability of the product yet

Five stars? Is that all??? This zippy little light string is a "10" - maybe even an "11".It is almost a sin that the manufacturers put a tiny little cheap bulb in the trunk. Nothing says I Love My Owners like putting a dim light back there when you need to pull out a spare tire, jack, etc. I guess they think everyone has roadside assistance.But I stay, sorry. Last summer I got a new car. It was not a cheap car, in fact it is probably the most expensive automobile model/package the manufacturer offers. But for them bucks I spent, they maybe spent a nickel for the bulb. In fact, the almost early evening I picked up my car and was checking everything out, I asked them to replace the bulb because it was so dim I thought it defective. I was told that was the normal brightness.HA! You want brightness? Get this light strip. It is just as advertised. Actually, it is better than it is advertised. This WORKS!I read someone say it took them about a minute to pop out their bulb, plug in this strip, peel the tape and put it in place. I thought they were lying. I found out they were... it only took 52 seconds. And that less-than-a-minute is worth 100 times more effort for what you get.As I said, It is almost a sin that the manufacturers put a tiny little cheap bulb in the trunk -- but this fixes all that in a (okay 52) second(s).BUY THIS -- I'm buying more to give out for gifts.Sorry for being so wordy. No, not really.Update April 2016I still love this light; however, I can't get it to stay "stuck" on the crosspiece in my trunk. I've even added my own double sided tape to help keep it in place, and it falls off of that as well. My next step will be to get my 10 year old grandson to crawl in the trunk and drill small holes and screw it into place with some #6 x 1/8 screws.Love the brightness; dislike the adhesive like some others have said.if there was a half-star available, I'd change this to a 4 1/2 star because of the hassle.

The light did not turn on when I first installed it. Then after working with it I only got intermittent light.The connect that adapts from the light adaptor to the LED light is cheap and loose.After almost an hour of messing around with it I finally cut off the connector, soldered on wired directly to wires coming our of bulb adaptor. This finally worked after much manipulation of the wires on the bulb adaptor so the small wires would line up with the bulb prongs on the car.Overall a bright light, just a pain to install for something that should have taken 10 minutes.

Is it bright? Yes. That's about where the pros end on this product. As others said, the wires will break off if you simply breath on it a little too hard. So the first thing I did was secure the wires with a non-conductive adhesive where they attach to the board. (This is what the manufacturer should have done and it is inexcusable that they did not). The supplied T-3 lamp base, used to replace my 194 bulb, is a joke! They took an ill-fitted piece of plastic that is vaguely in the shape of a T-3 base and shoved wires through it and bent them over. Did they then secure the wires in place so they will actually make contact in the socket? NO! Does it work right out of the box? NO! Can it be fixed? Not really... the T-3 base is so poorly designed it just falls out of my Toyota Camry's trunk lamp socket. Even after I secured the wires in place with a strong adhesive it still cuts in and out as the connection continually is broken. I even tried putting some soft foam around the base to hold it into the socket, which then can be held in place by closing the lamp cover in my vehicle. That did not stop the intermittent connections either... nor did it stop the base from falling out of the socket eventually anyway. I am an electronics technician that has worked with low voltage devices my entire life so this isn't just bashing from some nobody without any ingenuity to make items work better. This product is poorly made and I suspect the quality of the components is just as bad and they won't last as some others have already mentioned. If it weren't so inexpensive, I would return it.

excellent lighting very easy to install, I have installed them in my three vehicles and they do not burn. the color of the light provides an incredible look

I used this product in my old Nissan Altima 2008. Installing is just a matter of remove the bulb and plug in this strip to the bulb socket and then stick the strip to the car body. The light amount is just great. It looks exactly like in the pictures of the product description. End of stuggling at a dark time of the day with finding something in the car trunk.
