For starters i rinsed it in hot water for about 10 mins, then for about 15-20 i rinsed it in cold water. I dumped it in with some old sand and rocks i had, and i really love the look. It has almost a pearl shimmer too it and it’s beautiful! I’ll update photos as it settles (in this photo it’s been an hour) Updated photo is after 12 hours

I was nervous about buying this sand because I had only ever used gravel before for fishtanks but this sand worked well. The size of the granules is pretty large. I used an old t-shirt to wash the sand and strain the finest particles before putting it in the tank. There were still some bits that floated at the top at first, but by the end of the day they had either sank to the bottom or I skimmed off most of it with a paper towel. The color is very pretty, and I like the look of it in the tank.

I don't know why but this stuff has a tendency to float. Tiny particles will show up on the surface of the water looking like little pieces of Styrofoam, but when you touch it it falls to the bottom like sand. Weird. But I like the size of it and the color.

Beautiful in the tank. Rinsed it well and the cloudiness was minimal and cleared up fast. Exactly what I wanted and advertised correctly. Bought 1 bag for my 5 gal tank. Very satisfied

Nice color, fine texture. Luckily I bought this to cap fluorite in my 10 gallon because it's only enough for about a 1.5 gallon tank with no substrate and I'm not sure it's enough for a thin decorative layer in my 10g. We'll see.
