Absolutely would recommend this product. I installed some LED's under my car to set my car a bit different from my fellow Lyft drivers and so my riders could find me at night in the dark. I drive a newer Ford Fusion which I absolutely enjoy driving but trying to find a way through the firewall to run the electrical wires connecting 12v power, an on/off switch to the LED's was an exercise in futility.I spent a couple days on line in different ford sites looking for someone who had already scouted and found passage through ,what I experienced to be, the impenetrable firewall. I found someone who said they found a grommet behind the battery but I couldn't even get my hand close to being able to insert a tool to make a hole let alone a guild wire. I remembered seeing other higher priced LED kits that came with an RF remote. I wanted to stay within a budget and the kits that came w/remotes were higher than what I wanted to spend., after everything I purchased to complete the install (wire harness with switch. relay, connectors, zip ties) the iMBAPrice was/is cheaper and it works fantastic and at quite a distance farther than my alarm remote

Used this product as part of a larger system to control my generator. The range of the remote is about 75-80 feet un-obstructed line of sight, even after changing the battery. The remote does not penetrate doors or walls or even glass very well. If the receiver is inside a metal enclosure the range is cut to feet. When within range works perfectly. Remote uses a 12volt slightly hard to find battery, not your usual coin cell that is normally used in a car remote. If you take these limitations into account it works great. Personally I needed something with a bit more range and penetration to go through doors, windows and a fair distance beyond.

I use these on every vehicle I put leds lights on saves wiring and possibly drilling through fire wall, the wiring is easy to navigate the remote range is 6-8 feet more if your lucky, very durable and don’t notice any difference in brightness on lights

The iMBA transmitter/relay was easy to install and worked well for about 15 months. I recommend installing a kill switch in a discreet location so if it fails you can start your vehicle. I may purchase another iMBA although I dont need the extra remotes just so I can have peace of mind. I have a 99 F250 which is an easy vehicle to steal even with an alarm system so this gives me peace of mind. The picture is a thief on my security camera that broke into my truck but couldnt steal it because of my iMBA. Funny how someone would want to steal a 99 F250 that needs a paint job and has 220k miles on it.

The install: 2015 Honda CB300F and a 2010 Yamaha FZ6R.The purpose: LED lighting controller for accent and visibility lighting. The good. Range of the remote is excellent. Indoor in a open where house measured 198 feet. Put the transmitter up to temple or under chin and achieved 212 feet. Outdoors the range was shorter at 128-137 feet. Putting the transmitter to the temple and under forehead gained a additional 13-18 feet. Completely hiding the receiver antanna reduced over all rang by about 20 feet on average. We tested this with a meter stick and used the "American" setting. (Not even joking. It was called "American Mode")The unit overall requires you to hold the on or off button for about 1 second to activate. I personally like this it prevents accidentally activating or deactivating the unit. The bad: All the wires just come out of a hole with nothing to stop them from being pulled from the relay board. No inline or blade fuse so prepare to buy your own.No mounting points. Or mounting accessories ( like double sided tape or what have you. There are no holes set for mounting in the bog.Large box for such small board. The bad is far outweighed by the good and the price.

This product, I want to give it 5 stars because while it did work, and work well, it didn't work long. I can't complain about shipping time, it was fine, the instal was easy enough, but the overall quality was not what I had hoped for.Only after about a week of having it wired up, it quit working. I checked the hookup with the multimeter and it gets good current in, but not out. This sucks, as now I need to pull off my lighting system and rewire it, somehow, I'll be searching for alternatives. If you're keeping this is a completely stationary place, this might work for you. The range on the remote is surprisingly good for the price, but if it might be moving around at all, look for something else.

Like the idea - intended to use as a remote for my truck light barspent some time doing the install - everything works except this relay - clicks happily so electricity is going in and the ground is fine - output wire is dead - no electricity is coming out4 stars because the first one should have worked.Contacted the seller - unit replaced at no charge even though ti was past refund date.Replacement unit works as it should
